Arabic Sajedahs
38:22 - Saad

Note: The story of Bath Sheba and David (as). A warning and instruction that a vast
unseen world of angels and other beings are informing God about everything, and there
is no such thing as secrets for God. Privacy is an illusion men have in ignorance of God
and His heavenly kingdom.

17.
Bear with what they say, and remember Our bondman David, lord of might. Lo! he was
ever turning in repentance (toward Allah).
(Samu’el AS choose from Jessie's sons, because his heart was right upon God)

18.
Lo! We subdued the hills to hymn the praises (of their Lord) with him at nightfall and
sunrise,
(as a man in the fields in his youth and later as soldiers in the field, God graced
David AS with great understanding of nature)(God blessed David above all others in
Himslf)

19.
And the birds assembled; all were turning unto Him
(as it is said, Both David and Solomon were able to not only speak to, but also command
birds to keep him informed)

20.
We made his kingdom strong and gave him wisdom and decisive speech.
(through all these understanding of signs, and his record in battle, David AS was very
strong and used to getting his way, as is witnessed in the story of Uriah and Bath Sheba,
what in Islam called faraman, or permission to do as needed despite what legality said)

21.
And hath the story of the litigants come unto thee? How they climbed the wall into the
royal chamber;
(
there is some discrepancy between Biblical and Qura’nic accounts, but both accept that
this next verse explains that David AS was caught in his lies, and was forced to submit
that he was wrong and that he did not have the faraman as he thought, punished)

22.
idh dakhalo ‘alaa Daawod fa fazi’a min hum qaalo laa takhaf khasmaan baghaa ba’
dnaa ‘alaa ba’d. fa uh_kum bayna naa bi al-haqq wa laa tushtit. wa ihdinaa 'ilaa
sawaa' as-siraat. – sajedah

Then entered/burst/surprised upon David and (he) was afraid/guilty/shocked (not being
warned, Nathan & disciple) They said no fear – litigants warning we upon another. Then
judge between us by Truth, no injustice/lying and upon an even (way) the - straight way
(you must) accept (from now on).

How they burst in upon David, and he was afraid of them! They said: Be not afraid! (We
are) two litigants, one of whom hath wronged the other, therefor judge aright between
us; be not unjust; and show us the fair way. (Pickthall)

When they entered the presence of David and he was terrified of them they said: "Fear
not: We are two disputants one of whom has wronged the other: decide now between us
with truth and treat us not with injustice but guide us to the even Path. Ali)
