Sa'iy Procedures - upper or lower floor
Sa'iy and Rami means to strive and hurry. In the tawaaf there is no hurrying. In Sa'iy there is a sense of urgency and concentration. This comes from the original procedures in place from ancient times. The story of Hagar (rd) and Ishma'el (as) was when she was abandoned in the Miqat without water. In the manner of the pagans of the times, she ran back and forth as a type of worship to gain the grace of whatever deity that was being worshipped. In the case of Ibraheem's (as) family, he was worshipping the "Most High GOD", so the Sa'iy was to ask GOD for help from the forsaken condition she (rd) and her child (as) were in. As a result of these 7 frantic passes between Safaa and Marwa, Jibra'el (as) came in the form of a horse and the hooves opened a spring of ZumZum, as a grace, so survival was possible. So the hurrying is a bother, but that is part of it, and is needed so when you get the relief, it is sweet. The water itself has several minerals in it (5), for healing.
Intention - entering Safaa
Qur'an - 1st time
Takbir - facing Kab'a
Du'a - one for each pass
Shawat - repeat dhikrs as your guide does, or as you know better.
Repeat - 6 times using the appropriate dua' and words
Salaat - 2 nafl salaat to seal it off, in the area proximate to Marwa, or on east side of Kab'a.
ZumZum - as in tawaaf, you get the cooling and thirst quenched
So in that same striving manner, we make Saiy. You see many kinds of Tariqaat striving take form following in the example of Sa'iy. This includes many of the prayer words, which you will find quite familiar, and performing duties where going and coming back is required, and often it must needs be active and concentrated with many rules and procedures to follow, as a himmat. You will find a lot of work taking place, then after that comes the ZumZum of the suhbat and dhikr with the shaykh. First you strive, then you get the thirst satisfied.
In this sense, the Hajj with it's tawaaf and sa'iy, is a template for Tariqat aqida and sulook. What takes 2 weeks in Hajj, when transformed into tariqat, becomes 7 stages of life, or 7 x 2 = 14 or 7 inner & 7 outer sajedahs.

wa min tatawwa'a khayran fi inna allaaha shaakirun 'aleemun.
Intention for Sa'iy
allaahumma inni uriydu as-sa'ay baina as-safaa wa al-marwata
Oh GOD, surety You are, I wish the striving (Sa'iy) by the signs of Safaa and Marwa
sab'ata ashwaatin li wajhika al-kareem.
by 7 courses to Your purposeful guiding countenance, the bountiful & noble.
fa yassirtu liy wa taqabbalhu min niy.
then easing & enabling me, and You sanctify & make it acceptable from me.
Dua' Ashwaat Sa'iy - Qal Rasoolallaah (sal):
allaahu akbar- allaahu akbar - allaahu akbar - wa li illaahi il-hamd
God is great - God is great - God is great - and with God is all praise alone
al-hamdu li illaahi 'alay maa hadaanaa
all praise is to God, upon us how we received guidance
al-hamdu lillaahi 'alay maa awlaana.
all praise is to God, upon us how we received friendly help
al-hamdu lillaahi 'alay maa al-hamanaa.
all praise is to God, upon how we received warm motivation & inspiration.
al-hamdu lillaahi al-ladhiy hadaanaa
all praise is to God, the one who guided us righteously
wa maa kunnaa li nahtadiy law laa an hadaanaa allaahu
and what came by our receiving guidance, without, then no guidance is ours from God
God fashioned our guidance, and without His grace, there would be no guidance, except by God.
laa ilaaha illa allaahu wahidah laa sharreeka
no god (power) except God, He is one (power), with no associative god to Him.
(no comparable power, all take grace rather than give)
lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamdu
with Him is the sovereignty and with Him is all praise.
yuhyiy wa yumiytu wa huwa hayyun laa yumuwtu
enlivening & exciting and deadening & depressing, He is eternal Life with no death.
bi yadihi wa al-khairun wa huwa 'alaa kulli shay'a qadirun.
in His capable hands and goodness, and He is upon all things by powerful control.
laa ilaaha illa allaahu wahdah
no god is except Him, singular, one.
wa sadaqa wa'duhu wa nasara 'abdah
and truthful to His promise ('iyd) and is helping His loving servants
wa a'azza jundah wa hazama al-ahzaaba wahdah.
and strengthened were/are His armies, and routed/bound captive the confederates by Himself alone
laa ilaaha illa allaahu wa laa na'budu illa iyyaah
no god is except God, He, and no worship is ours except through Him.
mukhlisiyna lahu ad-deena wa law kariha al-kafiruwn.
sincerely we are with You and the judgment, and also when hated are the insurgent disbelievers.
allaahumma innaka qulta wa qauluka al-haqqu ud'uw niy astajib lakum
Oh GOD, surety You say, and Your sayings are Reality calling me, and I answer to You.
wa innaka laa tukhlifu al-miy'aada
and surety You not contrary & withdrawn but fulfilling the promise
wa inniy as'aaluka kalaa hadayt niy li il-islaami
and surety I ask You, then not (to lose) guidance in me through submission to peace
an laa yanzi'ah min niy hattaa tawaffaa niy wa anaa muslimun.
then no tearing out/death pangs with me until delivered/fulfillment is in me, and I am surrendered.
subhaana allaahi wa al-hamdu lillaahi
glory is to GOD, and all praise comes from GOD.
wa laa ilaaha illa allaahu wa allaahu akbar,
and no god is except GOD, He, and GOD is greatest !
wa laa haula wa laa quwwata illa bi illaahi
and no transformative ability, and no vigorous might is, except from GOD,
al-'aliyyu ul-'azheem.
the Most High, and the Tremendous Strength.
allaahumma salli wa sallim 'alaa sayyidinaa muhammadin
Oh GOD, intercede prayerfully and peaceful surrender be upon Master Muhammad.
wa 'alay aalihi wa sahbihi wa atbaa'ihi ilaa yaumi id-deen.
and upon his family, and his companions, and his helping followers, until the day of judgment.
allaahumma aghfir liy wa li walidayya wa li mashaa'khiy wa li al-muslimeena ajma'iyn
Oh GOD, forgive me and for parents, and for elder guides, and for submitters, in unity gathering.
wa as-salaamu 'aliy al-mursaleena
and the peaceful surrender be upon our messengers.
wa al-hamdu lillaahi rabbi il-'aalameen.
and all praise is for GOD, LORD of the entire universe & worlds & existences.

wa al-hamdu li illaahi kathiyran.

wa subhan allaahi il-’azheem
and glory is GOD's, the tremendous capacity,
wa bi hamdihi il-kareem bukratan wa aseelaan.
and in praise to Him, the generous & bountiful, morning and evening.
wa min al-layli fa asjud lahu
and through the night then prostrate in submission to Him,
wa subbih~hu laylaan taweelaan.
and glorify Him nights, a length
(set a time in the night, tahajjud, advancing & seeking counsel)laa ilaaha illa allaahu wahidah
no god is except GOD, one is He.
anjaza wa'dahu wa nasara 'abdahu
keeping & rewarding His promise, and helps His servant,
wa hazama al-ahzaabi wahdah.
and bound captive/routed the enemies, alone Himself.
laa shaa'a qablah wa laa ba'adah
no things came before Him, and no coming after Him.
nothing created existed before Him, and no created existence will continue after Him, as He is eternal and independent of creation.
yuhyiya wa yumeetu wa huwa hayyun daa'imaan laa yamuwtu
enlivening and suppressing and He is Life eternal with no death
wa laa yafuwtu abadan.
and no lapse, stint, or abandonment; continued forever.
bi yadihi al-khairu wa ilayhi al-masiyru
in Your hand & control is the good, and with You is progress & destiny (good results)
wa huwa 'alay kulli shay'an qadeerun.
and You are upon all things by predestined power
rabbi aghfir wa arham wa'afu wa takarram.
LORD forgive and pity and excuse and edify (in noble state)
wa tajaawaz 'ammaa ta'alamu.
and pass over & disregard prior & original sins that are understood & known & cast off.
and You perceive, then decide to forego further constriction & punishment (qabid & darr) due to the original sin of Adam (as) and sins accumulated before the time of Hajj. By that knowing (ta'alam) the amaam, all that coming before as a sinful precedent, is burned off and discarded. As Light enters, darkness must needs recede.
innaka ta'almu maa laa na'almu
surety You know what is not known by ourselves
(lacking Your intelligence perception)innaka anta allaahu ul-a'azzu al-akram.
surety You, by Yourself, You are GOD, the mighty power, the noble
(superabundant)rabbanaa najjinaa min an-naar
our LORD, save & deliver us from the hell fire,
saalimeena ghaaniyna farihiyna
surrendered peacefully in us, rich without spiritual need in us, blissfully happiness in us
mustabshireena maa i'baadika as-saaliheena
a continuing good report in us, among Your loving servants and among righteous good ones.
al-ladhiyna man an'ama allaahu 'alayhim
the ones we then fulfilled satisfied in GOD, He is upon us.
min an-nabiyyiena wa as-siddeeqeen wa ash-shuhada'i
from among the prophets and the truthful benefactors and the martyrs.
wa as-saaliheena wa hasun uwlaa'ika rafiyqaan.
and the righteous good and the beautiful, all these with You, intimate companions & friends.
dhaalika al-fadlu min allaahi
this is Your as the deliverance & preference & relief from GOD,
wakafaa bi illaahi 'aleemaan.
sufficient & unlimited from GOD, knowing needs best of all.
laa ilaaha illa allaahu haqqaan haqqaan.
no god is except GOD, He is Truth within truth.
laa ilaaha illa allaahu ta'abbudaan wariqaan.
no god except GOD, He service & devoted to the written agreement
(scrolls, pages in the book)laa ilaaha illa allaahu wa laa na'abudu illa iyyaah mukhliseena
no God is except GOD, and no devotion we do except to Thee, sincere we are.
there is no god except God, and it is not service and devotion to Thee unless we are sincere.
lahu ad-deena wa law karha al-kaafiruwna
with Him is the judgment, even if hatred is in the disbelievers.
as-safaa wa al-marwata min sha'aa'iri illaahi

then from pilgrimage to the house attending and performing then adhering (to the rites) within her.
an yattawwaf bihi maa wa min tatawwa'a khairaan
as obeying & subjugating willingly in her through that, and without compulsion in it.
fa inna allaaha shaakirun 'aleem.
then surety GOD is grateful (to pilgrims) and knowing (everything they tried to do).
2nd Shawt - start at Marwa
allaahu akbar - allaahu akbar - allaahu akbar - wa li illaahi il-hamd.
(facing Kaba')GOD is great, GOD is great, GOD is great; and with GOD is all praise.
laa ilaaha illa allaahu al-waahidu ul-fardu is-samdu
no god is except GOD, He is one, the singular, the eternal, needing no support of any other thing
ul-ladhiy lam yattakhidh saahibtan wa laa waladan.
the one without serving a spouse, a companion, and no children.
the one that needs no sex, and does not perform anything by sexual or artistic activity. #112:3
wa lam yakun lahu shariykun fiy al-mulki
and without making from Himself associate powers in Him to rule sovereign.
wa lam yakun lahu waliyyun min adh-dhulli wa kabbirhu takbiyran.
and without making helping friends for protection and magnifying Himself through pride (kibr).
allaahumma innaka qulta fiy kataabika al-munazzali ud'uwniy
Oh GOD, surely by Yourself, You say in Your books, revealing and inviting.
astajib lakum.
I am answering to You (by faith & sincerity)
da'aunaaka rabbanaa fa aghfir lanaa
calling & commanding, our LORD then forgive in us.
our LORD, You called us, because of that calling, the result is forgiving & expunging our records.
kamaa 'amrtanaa innaka laa tukhlifu ul-miy'aada.
subsequently with exorcism on us, surety You are not contrary & withdrawn, fulfilling the promise.
then as a result, You exorcise our satanic influences and purify through removal of negative entries in our records. You will not disappear or withdraw from this promise, because You have given a solemn oath.
rabbanaa innanaa sami'naa munaadiyaan yunaadiy li
our LORD surety we hear edicts & proclamations that explain & extol & command us.
our LORD, we have heard the proclamations and the consequences, so we wait for the fulfillment.
il-iymaani an aaminuw bi rabbikum fa aamannaa.
the full faith & trust is through watching & relying in the LORD, then we loyally confide.
You oh LORD, are guarantor and trustee of the safety, and we are confiding, watching, and relying on You to fulfill that by faith. You are the faith & safety, so only through You can confidence and reliance manifest.
rabbanaa fa aghfir lanaa dhunuwbanaa
our LORD, then forgive & excuse from us our dirty, sinful condition (expunge our angelic records)
our LORD, through Your ways, You rewrite our sins in the books by erasing the words and removing pages that do not befit the attribute ghaffar. You have promised our state free, and then You may deliver us completely free from all of our sins and ignorant folly if You will, being consistent with Your majesty and might alone.
wa kaffir 'annaa sayyi'aatinaa
and hide expiating (not looking) upon our original & previous ill manners, bad temper, inequity
(nafs amara bi suw'a)
cover, hide, and expiate, from all angelic and material agents, our bad manners, dissolute inequity, and manifest trespass, making us trustworthy through Your constant presence, rather than our own worthless deeds. Like a lantern is useless in the daytime because of the sun shining, Your kaffaara, Your effulgent Grace with us renders futile and void our bad actions. If You are with us, no one will care about little things, only seeing You. Such is Your kaffara mifdaal, that it hides our name and reputation, in favor of Your grace & reputation.
wa tawaffanaa ma'a al-ibraari.
and surround & enclose us upon the charitable righteousness
(purified from evil by grace)by surrounding us with Your grace, we are purified & kept free from evil motives, imbued with the attributes of GOD automatically happening within and without, seen as selfless charitable striving
rabbanaa wa aatinaa maa wa'adtnaa 'aliy rusulika
our LORD, and give us through & with a promise (similar to what) is upon Your messenger.
LORD, give by keeping Your word of promise to us and Your messenger (sal) together, similarly.
wa laa tukhzinaa yauma al-qiyaamati
and no disgracing & spurning us on the day of resurrection,
innaka laa tukhlifu ul-miya'aada.
surely You are not contrary & withdrawn, but fulfilling as promised. (with Yourself)
rabbanaa 'alayka tawakkalnaa wa ilayka 'anabnaa wa ilayka al-masiyru.
our LORD, upon You we rely & trust, and upon You we interact, and upon You is the outcome.
rabbanaa aghfir lanaa wa li ikhwaaninaa al-ladhiyna sabaquwnaa bi il-iymaani
our LORD, forgive with us
wa laa taj'al fiy quluwbinaa ghila il-ladhiyna aamanuw rabbanaa
and not remaining & leaving in our hearts insurgent malice to the ones they believe in their LORD.
innaka ra'uwfu ur-raheemun
indeed You are kind & gentle, the merciful & compassionate.
rabbi ighfir wa arham wa a'afu wa takarram
LORD forgive and deliver mercifully and excuse in clemency and bless generously.
wa tajaawaz 'ammaa ta'alamu
and pass over & disregard prior & original sins that are understood & known & cast off.
and You perceive, then decide to forego further constriction & punishment (qabid & darr) due to the original sin of Adam (as) and sins accumulated before the time of Hajj. indeed You researching & understanding what is not known & understood by us.
innaka anta allaahu ul-a'azzu ul-akram.
surety You are ! You are GOD, the all Mighty and the revered Honorable.
as-safaa wa al-marwata min sha'aa'iri illaahi
Safaa and Marwa are among the manifest signs of GOD.
fa man hajja al-baita awi'tamara fa laajunaaha 'alayhi
then from pilgrimage to the house attending and performing then adhering (to the rites) within her.
an yattawwaf bihi maa wa min tatawwa'a khairaan
as obeying & subjugating willingly in her through that, and without compulsion in it.
fa inna allaaha shaakirun 'aleem.
then surety GOD is grateful (to pilgrims) and knowing (everything they tried to do).

allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar
GOD is greatest, GOD is greatest GOD is greatest.
wa li illaahi il-hamd.
and with GOD is all praise and praising.
rabbanaa atmim inni nuwranaa
our LORD, encourage & perfect as surety, our light (knowledge of reality).
wa aghfir lanaa
and forgiveness be with us.
innaka ‘alay kulli shay’in qadeerun.
verily You are upon all things through destined power.
allaahumma inniy asa’aluka al-khaira qullah
our GOD, indeed we ask You for the goodness as You said (promised)
‘aajilahu wa aajilah wa a’staghfiruka li dhanbiy
You speed and prepare timely and as You continue to forgive our dirty sins.
wa asa’aluka rahmataka yaa arhama ar-raahimiyna.
and I ask You for Your mercy, through a compassion from endless propitiation (mercy oceans)
rabbi aghfir wa arham wa al-a’fu wa takrram
LORD of forgiveness and mercy and pardon and graceful
wa tajaawaz ‘ataan ta’alamu
and pass over & assume & take over (our sins) as You know (better & befitting).
innaka ta’alamu maa laa na’almu
surety You know what is not known by us.
innaka anta allaahu al-a’azza al-akbar.
surety You are GOD, the mighty, the greatest
rabbi dhinniy ‘ilmaan
LORD increase & augment our knowledge
wa laa tuzigh qalbniy ba’d idh hadayniy.
and not suffer ignorance in my heart after guidance came in me.
wa habliy min ladunka rahmatan
and immerse & bathe me from Your intimate presence, as mercy
innaka anta al-wahhaabu
surety by Yourself, You are the bestowwer (of everything)
allaahumma ‘aafiniy fiy sam’iy wa basariy
our GOD, excuse & preserve me through my hearing, my seeing (You, Your good)
GOD, excuse & pardon me through giving me divine hearing and divine seeing, through which I can discern Your power and might, and Your knowledge of reality; through seeing Your image and hearing Your guiding voice and the voices of those who carry Your will.
laa ilaaha illa anta.
no god is except You.
allaahumma inniy a’uwdhubika min ‘adhaabi il-qabri.
our GOD surety, I seek refuge in You from punitive torture & questions in the grave life.
laa ilaaha illa anta subhaanka inniy
no god is except You, glory be to You, surely.
kuntu min azh-zhaaliyn.
(and from what is) fashioned from depravity of darkness.
I seek refuge from what You have made in Your creation, that seeks to divert me and envelope me in depraved inhuman conditions of darkness and confusion and disgrace, seeking my soul by illusion & depravity.
allaahumma inniy a‘uwdhubika min al-kufri wa al-faqri.
our GOD by Your surety, I seek refuge in You from unbelief and spiritual & material poverty
allaahumma inniy a’uwdhu bi ridaaka min sakhatika
our GOD, by Your surety, I seek refuge in Your calm satisfaction from Your displeasure
wa bi ma’aa faatika min ‘uquwbbika
and in what incessantly & successively comes from You (with no rest)
and I seek refuge from the kinds of grace You give to those You dislike, that incessantly torment, and come in waves, one directly upon another with no break or peace or happiness; being ever commanding to external pleasures & materialistic slavery.
wa a’uwdhubika minka laa uhsiy thana’an ‘alayka anta
and I seek refuge in You, so You are not calculating & charging deviation, turning away from You.
I seek refuge in Your beneficence, if You perceive then calculate of a manner of life that results in separation from being in Your good graces, through deviating and backsliding.
kamaa athnayta ‘alay nafsika fa laka al-hamdu hattaa tardaa.
then what accounting & calculation is upon Yourself then by praise until it pleases
subsequently, what good account is from this kind of praise, until You Yourself dissuade and turn us away through Your own satisfaction, and we accept, being satisfied with Your praise alone.
as-safaa wa al-marwata min sha'aa'iri illaahi
Safaa and Marwa are among the manifest signs of GOD.
fa man hajja al-baita awi'tamara fa laajunaaha 'alayhi
then from pilgrimage to the house attending and performing then adhering (to the rites) within her.
an yattawwaf bihi maa wa min tatawwa'a khairaan
as obeying & submitting willingly in her through that, and from volunteering without compulsion
fa inna allaaha shaakirun ‘aleemun.
then surety GOD is grateful (to pilgrims) and knowing (everything they tried to do).
4th Shawt
allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar
GOD is greatest, GOD is greatest GOD is greatest.
wa li illaahi il-hamd.
and with GOD is all praise and praising.
allaahumma inniy asa'aluka min khairi maa ta'alimu
our GOD surety You are, I ask You through goodness and from knowledge
our GOD, surety You are the only GOD worth seeking, I ask through Your goodness, knowledge befitting Your station, and not expecting good from what You know about my deeds & intentions.
wa a'uwdhu bika min sharri maa ta'almu
and I seek refuge in You from evil that in known from perceiving my state
wa astghfiruka min kulli maa ta'alamu
and Your continuous forgiveness from all that is know about me
innaka anta 'allaamu al-ghuyuwbi.
verily GOD, You know the entirety of unseen states and salvations
laa ilaaha illa allaahu ul-maliku ul-haqqu ul-mubeenu
no god is except GOD, He is the sovereign, the reality, the obvious clear proof
muhammdun rasuwlu ullaahi is-saadiqu ul-wa'di al-ameen.
Muhammad is the messenger of GOD, true & timely in his promise, as the trustworthy
allaahumma inniy asa'aluka kamaa hadayta niy li il-islaami
our GOD, surety, I ask You subsequent to guidance for me through the surrendering faith
in laa yanzi'ah min niy hatti tatawaffaa niy wa ana muslimun.
then not removing by ripping me out, until surrounding & encompassing me, and I am a believer
allaahumma aj'al fiy qalbiy nuwraan wa fiy sam'iy nuwran wa fiy basariy nuwran.
GOD, form in my heart - light, and in my hearing - light, and in my seeing - light
GOD, make me enlightened with a pure heart, keen hearing of how reality instructs, and perceiving the light of reality in all ways, so we may serve You, as You rule and sustain Your creation.
allaahumma asrah liy sadriy wa yassir liy amriy
our GOD, expand and open my spirituality and ease & strengthen me for required actions
wa a'uwdhubika min sharri wasaawisi as-sudri
and I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions, the whispers that try to deceive my spirituality
wa shataati il-amri wa fitnati il-qabri.
and disorder & confusion in my duties, and trials & tribulations of questioning in the grave
allaahumma inniy a'uwdhu bika min sharri maa yaliju fiy il-layl
our GOD, surety, I seek refuge in You from evil with mischief & confusion in the darkness
God I seek refuge in You from evil of confusion of being lost in the darkness, not being able to see or know where I am going, and not being able to see any landmarks or find help; and being in danger from creations that make mischief in the darkness to prey upon others by fear and panic
wa min sharri maa yuliju fiy an-nahaari
and from evil with mischief & coercion in the day
and I seek refuge in You from evil results that come from the noise, tumult, and clamor that attempts to coerce & compel you into materialistic activity that only serves degradation and subjugation of your resources and efforts, squandering your time and life on fleeting pleasures.
wa min sharri maa tahubbu bihi ir-riyaahu yaa arhama ar-raahineen.
and from evils that dustily gust in her the winds, oh merciful of the compassionate
and from the blowing winds of thoughts and emotions and all manner of driving force that arise in the chest, that make angry gales that destroy faith & manners. Oh God preserve us, You are merciful & compassionate.
subhaanaka maa 'abadnaaka haqqa 'ibaadatka yaa allaahu.
glorified are You, but not our service to You is by reality, as You deserve worship, oh GOD
subhaanaka maa dhakarnaaka haqqa dhikrika yaa allaahu.
glorified are You, but not our rememberance to You is by reality, as You are reality, oh GOD
rabbi ighfir wa arham wa a'afu wa takarram
LORD, forgive and pity and excuse and generously bless
wa tajaawazu 'ammaa ta'alamu

as obeying & subjugating willingly in her through that, and from volunteering without compulsion
fa inna allaaha shaakirun ‘aleemun.

subhaanika maa shakarnaa haqqa shukrika.
glory is Yours, not grateful we are in reality until we are grateful to You
allaahumma habbib ilaynaa al-iymaana wa zayyinhu fiy quluwbinaa
our GOD favor & love upon us our faith and You dress in our hearts
wa karrh ilaynaa al-kufra wa al-fusuwqa wa al-'isyaani
and make hateful upon us the disbelief, inequity, and disobedience
wa aja'alnaa min ar-raashidiyna.
and make us from the guided unerring
rabbi aghfir wa arham wa a'afu wa takarrim
LORD forgive and pity and excuse and ennoble
wa tajaawaz 'ammaa ta'alamu
and pass over & ignore prior & original sins that are understood & known & cast off.
and You perceive, then decide to forego further constriction & punishment (qabid & darr) due to the original sin of Adam (as) and sins accumulated before the time of Hajj. our GOD guide in me in the guidence and purify us recovered the standing (yaum al-qiyyama)
wa aghfir liy fiy il-aakhirati wa al-uwlaa.
and forgive in me for the last world and the first
forgive and prepare us for the last world of existence as You prepared us in the first world
allaahumma absut 'alaynaa min barakaatika wa rahmatika wa fadlika wa rizqika.
our GOD extend & open upon us from Your grace, Your mercy, Your favor, Your providence
allaahumma inniy asa'aluka an-na'ima al-muqiyma
our GOD indeed I ask You for the etenal happiness and the high station
al-ladhiy laa yahuwlu wa laa yazuwlu abadan.
the one with no change and with no waning, forever
allaahumma ajaal niy qalbniy nuwran.
our GOD, make in my heart light, a proof of reality
wa fiy basariy nuwran.
and in my perception, an illuminated vision
wa fiy lisaaniy nuwran.
and in my tongue, an enlightened speech
wa 'an yamiyniy nuwran wa min fauq nuwran.
and on my days, a light from an above light
wa aja'al niy nafsiy nuwran. wa 'azhzhim liy nuwran.
and make in me thoughts, illuminated, awesome through Your light
rabbi ishrah liy sadriy wa yassir liy amriy.
LORD open and increase in me spirituality and ease & help me in my duties

wa nasara 'abdahu
and helped is His loving servant
wa hazama al-ahzaab wahdahu
and defeated & vanquised are the confederates, Himself alone.
laa ilaaha illa allaahu
no god is except GOD,
wa laa na'abudu illa iyyaahu mukhlisiyna lahu ad-deena
and no worship we perform is, except to Him & we are sincere to Him through the judgement
wa law kariha al-kaafiruwn.
even if then hating (ad-deen) are the disbelieving suppressors

oh GOD, surety, I ask You for the guidance and the fearing piety, and well being, and richness
allaahumma laka al-hamdu ka al-ladhiy naquwlu wa khairan mim maa naquwlu
oh GOD, with You is all praise, subsequently the one we mimic, and the good from which we say
allaahumma inniy asa'aluka ridaaka wa al-jannata
our GOD, surely I ask You for Your calm satisfaction (in our existence) and the paradise
wa a'uwdhubika min sakhatika wa an-naar
and I seek refuge in You from Your displeasure and the hell fire
wa maa yuqarribunaa ilayhaa min qaulin au fi'lin au 'amalin.
and not closing us proximate upon her from is said then done then accomplished
and do not move us close the those things, Your displeasure and the hell fire; through our ignorance, indifference, attachment, racism, disunity, and fanaticism through what we say and agree to, then perform the actions, and then gain the reward of trespass & inequity.
allaahumma bi nuwrka ahtadiynaa wa bi fadlika astaghniynaa
our GOD, by Your light of reality, guide us through Your conference of favor, unending richness
wa fiy kun fika wa na'amika wa 'ataa'ika wa ihsaanika asabhnaa wa a'msaynaa.
and for me, create through Yourself, by Your happiness, reward, pure beauty, for us in our mornings and by our evenings
anta al-awwalu fa laa qabluka shay'un
You are the first then none were before You as anything
wa al-akhiru fa laa ba'adaka shay'un duwnaka.
and the end then were none after You anything, abiding & enduring perpetually
na'uwdhubika min al-iflaasi wa al-kasali
we seek refuge in You from destitution, laziness
wa 'adhaabi il-qabri wa fiytnati il-ghinaa
torment in the gave, and trials & tests of material wealth and worldly lifestyle
wa nasa'aluka al-fauza bi il-jannati.
and we ask You for the mark & decoration of honor though receiving the paradise

our GOD, close in goodness, our decrees & terms & length of life
God, as we approach the end of our lives, and you are closing off & terminating the various paths, destinies, and earthly affairs; through your goodness, make a good approach, acceptable to You.
wa haqqiq bi fadlika aamaalanaa
and correct & realize by Your preference & propitiation upon our accomplishments.
through Your jurisprudence and complete understanding, fulfill & realize our sayings, doings and accomplishments, and through Your preference upon Your servants, no matter how weak they may be, edify through your propitiation, by Your grace, a full removal of cares, and Your full favor.
wa sahhil li buluwghi ridaaka subulnaa
and facilitate & level off by an eloquent decree of sufficiency, Your bliss in our returning ways
and level off by Your fairness, making possible through Your beautiful ultimatum, which is enough & complete in every detail; and through Your pleasure in doing this; we return & lower down, submitting as Your ultimate decree necessitates, by Your way or path (fiy sabiyl allaah).
wa hassan fiy jamiy'a al-ahwaali a'maalanaa.
and improve & beautify us; rallying & uniting; changing & transforming our works
upgrade, improve, and embellish beautifully through calling us together in unity with You; transforming through Your skill and power, to accomplish the fulfillment of our life's works
and yaa munqidha al-gharqaa.
and oh savior of the drowning
reliever & deliverer of the floundering lives who are immersed & inundated in the cares and difficulties of life; salvaging reclaiming, having safety & hope of usefulness and acceptance.
yaa munjiyaa al-halkaa.
oh refuge & salvation from the consuming wantoness & perishing eternal damnation
yaa shaahida kulli najwaa.
oh witness of all our inner whispering temptations
- (17:58)oh seer and recorder and creator of material response to the false inner elemental schemes and temptations that arise from the whispering of all things existing in this material world. You see and know when we are falsely discerning, and Your response is to create a lesson, trial, or accident that explains that false perspective. That is the witness that explains, and the lesson that shows darkness and illusion, and all the ways that it can ruin our human capabilities and disable our high station.
yaa muntaha kulli shakwaa.
oh aiming mark & target of all the complaints & binding grievance
- (17:60)(Exodus 3:1-7)oh shajarat al-muntaha, oh tree that marks the point where created things can not operate; arch angels or any creations attempting to rise by a method that can not withstand the power of God; by that point that separates efficacious from ineffective approaches, and protects the quickened Life of God from falsehood, as purity; upon that reality that throws us back unaided after it has placed us in this situational tumult, we lodge our serious and intensive appeal, as a binding grievance.
yaa qadiyma al-ihsaani
oh original, the omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient benefactor
(the wajh ma'arifat)oh first & original power we saw and embraced, and who is seeing and embracing us even now
yaa naa'ima al-ma'aruwfi.
oh comforter, the guiding countenance of experience and perception
(the wajh ma'arifat)oh source of contentment who is edifying us to be happy with the guiding countenance of Your face; which is skilled and experienced and wise; to be able to perceive and know all affairs
yaa man rizqu kulli shay'an 'alayhi
oh then sustain us in every thing coming upon that
(the wajh ma'arifat)wa masiyru kulli sha'an ilayhi.
and adapt & construct all things upon that
(the wajh ma'arifat)allaahumma inni 'aa'idhubika min sharri maa a'atayna
our GOD, surety, I seek refuge in You from the evil of that disgrace we received
wa min sharri maa mana'tanaa.
and from the evil of our properties & qualities & characteristics
(we received from You)allaahumma tawaffanaa muslimiyna
our GOD, we are surrounded & encompassed as we want surrender & peace as Muslims
wa al-hiqnaa bi is-saalihiyna
and we are confirmed & suitable through our good righteousness
(we receive from You)ghaira khazaayaa wa laa maftuwniyn.
separated & removed away from vile shame and not hypnotized & charmed by deception
rabbi yassir wa laa tu'assir.
LORD, eased & helped and not distressed & impoverished
rabbi atmim bi il-khairi.
LORD, calmed & abated quiescent, entering the good station

and calming surrender & peace, abundantly
There is no source of power except GOD. GOD was before creation, and will exist after creation is annulated. GOD is the only source of grace, except as He may allow by His graceful providence of Life. Since He is the only un-denatured grace, His purity shows His almighty greatness. GOD is invisible & unknown to creation, except as a source of gracious power. There seem to be lesser powers, as gods we serve by imitation, befitting our ego, but GOD can not be imitated. True worship is not ingratiation through imitation, but exists as unity through prayer. Because He shares Himself as prayer He is the state of praise, and from Him comes any praise worthy attributes. Creations both in unseeing darkness (evening torpor) and knowing light (morning energy) glorify, praise, and worship Him, even though it seems darkness does not, He has fashioned His grace to manifest worlds we do not belong to or understand. Only He understands what He has created. Only He knows how to sustain and protect all those worlds in all those universes of existence. As only God, from the primal (min qabl) beginning, understand and enliven (yuhyee), also He alone can end through extinction (yumeet), then remain (min badi'a).
Within that Mystery is a secret. That secret was chosen as the universal template from which the creation was fashioned. Surety, GOD and the majestic angels are prayerfully interceding upon this secret, the secret known by the name nabiy, or messenger. Oh all of us that believe, intercede prayerfully upon the nabiy similarly as GOD and angels do, invoking surrender in submission that leads to freedom from false gods and imitations, upon a gratifying peace.
The beginning is the source of the hidden glorification; and the end is the source of the obvious physical glorification. From this chosen template, rich in gratifying attributes, come all the diversity of creation good & bad, known & unknown, seen & unseen. God is the (dhat) essence, of the first image, the nabiy (sal). Subsequently the nabiy (sal) is the example (siffat) of the image of creation. The forms have stations befitting their creation (akhlaq), from their order, the first born (awwal) are unseen beings (batin), and the last born (akhir) are manifest (zahar). As that is nabiy (sal), there are both deeds ('amal) and intentions (niyyat) that must be grouped (ajma'een) al-awwal 'ayn al-batin tikunna an-niyyat wa al-akhir 'ayn az-zohar tikunn al-'amal.
Through all praise and glorification we seek to unify (yajammi'a ajma'een kulli sha'iy raja'un lillaahi qadireen) through God's power, a returning of everything to one group. This is the duty and why we ask for intercession on all the aspects of the chosen best example (nabiy mustafa khairi khalqi). This applies to the well known physical manifestations and also to all the secret manifestations as well, as one group (ajma'een).

opener to what has been closed

yaa nasir al-haqq li il-haqq
oh supporting Truth explaining through Reality
wa al-haadiy 'alay as-siraatika il-mustaqeem
and skillful guide upon Your path of the only effective way
wa ^alaa aaalihi
and upon his people

aqq qad*rihitrue power is his
wa muq*daarihi il-'azheem
and (sworn by) his ranking executive position (and that is of) the highest tremendous order
17:60 B’ismillaahi ir-rahmaan ir-raheem.
And (it was a warning) when We told thee: Lo! thy Lord encompasseth mankind, and We appointed the vision which We showed thee as an ordeal for mankind, and (likewise) the Accursed Tree (muntaha) in the Qur'an. We warn them, but it increaseth them in naught save gross impiety.

A depiction of Rasoolallaah (sal) making intercession at the Shajarat al-Muntaha. The Muntiha is explained in ayyat al-‘Isra’ 17:60, and of course the Ibn Abbas account of the ‘Isra’ wa al-Mir’aj in the hadith. There are many accounts where Rasoolallaah (sal) is explained as the “shafi’a”, he (sal) is standing as intercessor in a manner like what is described in this dua’ for Sa’iy.
