bismi allaah ir-rah+maan ir-raheem
In name (of) Allah the merciful the compassionate

inna ka la min al-mur+saleen
Indeed you (are) from among the messengers

4.
^alaa sirati mustaqeem
upon a path straight (correct)(Godly)

5.
tan+zeel al- ^azeez ir-raheem
descending (from) the mighty the compassionate

6.
li tun+dhira qauma maa un+dhira aabaa^u hum
in (the)warning(of) tribes (these were) not warned (so) their fathers
fa hum gaafiloon
then they (became)(are)heedless

7.
la qad haqq al-qaulu ^alaa akh+thari him
then from truth the words upon most of them
fa hum laa yu^minoon
then they not believing (acting in faith)

8.
innaa ja^al naa fii a^naaqi him ag+laal-an fa hiya ilaa al-adh+qaani
indeed made in yokes necks then closed upon the chin
fa hum muq+mahoon
then they (are) forced (not liking it) (to animal like servitude in the world)

9.
wa ja^al naa mim bayni aydee him sadda wa min khal+fi heem
and made from among in front a bar and from behind
sadd-an fa ag+shay naa hum fa hum laa yub+siroon
a bar then covered (animal blinders) then they (are) not seeing

10.
wa sawaa-un ^alay heem a^an+dhar ta hum am lam tun+dhiru
and alike with them (is) warning or not warning
laa yu^minoon
(they are)not believing (acting in faith)(getting the idea of what to do)

11.
inna maa tun+dhiru man it-tab^a adh-dhikra wa khashiya
indeed(you'll)not warn (those) then following the message and (then) fears
ar-rah+mana bi al-gayb. fa bashir hu bi ma ag+firati
the merciful in the unseen. then good news in with forgiveness
wa ajar-een kareem
and a reward generous

12.
innaa nahnu nuh+yee il-mautaa wa nak+tubu maa qad+damuu
indeed we liven the dead and write what (is) past (compleated)
wa athaara hum.
and their leavings (what was not done and remains to be done, inheritance)
wa kulla shay^-in ah+say naa hu
and every thing (is) accounted for (recorded)
fi imaami mubeen.
in evidence (a file) clearly (showing the details)

13.
wa ad+rib la hum mathal-an as+haab al- qaryah.
and tell to them a parable companions (of) the city
idh jaa^a ha al-mur+saloon.
when came (to) them the messengers

14.
idh ar+sal naa ilay him ithnayni fa kadh+dhabuu humaa
when we sent upon them 2 then rejection (came from) them
fa ^az+zaza naa bi thalatheen
then (we) strengthened them in a 3rd
fa qaaluu innaa ilay kum mur+saloon
then said (the 3) indeed upon you messengers (with a strong message)

15.
qaaluu maa antum illaa basharu mith+lu naa
(in return) said no you (are) without good news compared to us
wa maa an+zal ar-rah+maanu min shay^-in in
and no coming down (from) the merciful (is) from things given (and)
antum illaa takh+dhiboon
you (are nothing) except liars (deceivers)

16.
qaaluu rabbu naa ya^alamu innaa ilay kum la mursaloon
said our Lord knows indeed upon you from (Me, they) proclaim

17.
wa maa ^alay na illa al-balaagu ul-mubeen
and (we are) without upon you except (for) the message the clear

18.
qaluu innaa ta tay+yar na bi koom, la il
(they) said indeed (comes an) evil omen (to) us in you , don't give (us that)
lam tan+ta hu la naj+ruman na kum
without (your) desisting in us (is a) stoneing (from) us (on) you
wa la ya mas+san na koom min naa ^adhaab-un aleem
and from us we will inflict you from us a torture hurtful

19.
qaluu taa^iru kum ma^a kum, a^in dhik+kir tum
(we) say your winged evil curses (ravens, owls)(are) with you, if you could reflect?
bal antum qaumu mus+rifoon
in no (way), you (are) a tribe transgressing all bounds (pushing it too far)

wa ja^a min aqsa al-madinati rajulu yas^aa
and came from furthest (part) the city a man running
qala : ya qaum at-tab^uu al-mur+saleen
he said: oh my tribe the obeying (heeding) (is with) the messengers

21.
it+tabi^uu mal laa yas^alu kum aj+ra wa hum muh+tadoon
obey (those) with no asking (of) rewards and they (are being)guided
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
22.
wa maa liya laa a^abudu ul-ladhee fatar nee wa ilay hi tur+ja^uun
and what is this not (to)serve the same (who) created and upon him we return

23.
a^ at-takhidhu min duuni hi aalihat-an
? (is there) taking from beside Him an idol ?
iy yuridni ir-rah+maanu bi durri
if (He) sends (from) the grace in adversity
laa tugni ^annee shafaa^atu hum shai^a wa la yun+qidhoon
no richness appears (in) His intercession (for) things, and no deliverance

24.
innee idha lafi dalaali mubeen
indeed when from in (this)(is) a straying certain (clearly)

25.
innee aamantu bi rabbi kum fa as+ma^oon
indeed I act faithfully in your Lord, then listen (closely)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
26.
qeela ad+khul il-jannah.
said (back) enter the garden
qaala yaa layta qaumee ya^almoon
(he) says oh with my tribe understanding

27.
bi maa gafara lee rabbee wa ja^al nee min al-muk+rameen
is (that) not forgiveness in my Lord and made me from the honored
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
28.
wa maa an+zal naa ^alaa qaumi hi mim ba^di hi min jun+dim
and not came down upon his tribe from after him from soldiers
min as-samaa^i wa maa kunnaa mun+zaleen
from the sky and not (for) us (to) be coming down

29.
in kaanat illaa sayhata waahidat-an
then (there) was except a blast a single
fa idhaa hum khaamidoon
thats when they (became) extinguished (silent)(motionless)

30.
yaa has+rat-an ^alaa al-^ibaadi maa ya^tee hi
oh a regret (is) upon the worshiping servants not (never)(in) his coming
mir rasool-in illaa kaanuu bi hi yastah+zi^oon
from a messenger except was in him ongoing mocking (jeering)(deriding)

31.
a lam yarau kam ah+lak naa qab+la hum min al-qurooni
? are (we) without seeing was families recieveing from the (close) scrutiny
anna hum ilay him laa yar+ji^oon
indeed they upon them (are) not returning

32.
wa in kullu lammaa jami^u laday naa mah+daroon
and for all in that (is) a gathering among us (all) fully participating

33.
wa aayatu lahum ul-ard ul-maytah:
and a sign from them (is) the earth the dead
ah+yai naa haa wa akh+raj naa min ha habban
I enliven her and send out from her grain
fa min hu ya^kuloon.
then from that (is) eating (possible)

34.
wa ja^al na fee haa jan+naati min nak+heeli
and make from her a garden orchard with dates
wa a^naabi wa faj+jar na min al-^uyoon
and grapes and we gush (break open) from springs (of water)

35.
li ya^kuluu min thamari hi wa maa ^amilat hu aydee him.
in (this is) eating from his fruits and (they are)not working their hands
a fa laa yash+kiroon
? are (they) then not thankful?

36.
subhaa na al-ladhee khalaq al-az+waaja
glory upon the same (who) created the opposite pairs
kulla haa mim maa tumbit ul-ardu
all (of) her from what (is) produced (from) the earth
wa min an+fusi heem wa mim maa laa ya^alimoon
and from yourselves and from what (creations)(you are) not knowing

37.
wa aayatu lahuma al-laylu: nasakhu min hu an-nahaara
and a sign from them (is) the night: withdrawing from it the daylight
fa idhaa hum muth+limoon
from when they (get) a murky darkness/injustice

38.
wa ash-shamsu taj+ree li mustaqarri la haa.
and the sun courses in a calculated period with her
dhaalika taqdeer ul-^azeez al-^aleem
that for you (is) a decree (from) the mighty the all knowing
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
39.
wa al-qamara qad+dar naahu ma naazila
and the moon (is) assigned for her transiting phases
hattaa ^ada kaa al-^ur+jooni il-qadeem
untill (it) then returns (as) the date stalk the old withered
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
40. n
la ash-shamsu yambagee la haa an tud+rik al-qamara
not the sun distinguishing (itself) from her with overtakeing the moon
wa la al-laylu saabiq un-nahaar.
and not the night outstripping the day
wa kulun fi falakiy yasbahoon.
and (they) exist in swimming/floating (in) periodic orbits

41.
wa aayatu la hum innaa hamal naa dhur+riy+yata hum
and a sign from them indeed we carried their progeny
fi il-fulki al-mash+hoon.
in the ark (that is) the fully loaded

42.
wa khalaq naa la hum mim mith+li hi maa yar+kaboon
and we created for them from (that) comparison what (they) ride
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
43.
wa in nasha^ nugriq hum fa laa sareekha la hum
and if (it was) our will we (could) drown them then no helper with them
wa laa hum yun+qadhoon
and not they (get) delivered
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
44.
illaa rah+mat-am min naa wa mataa^-an ilaa heen
except (as) a merciful act from us and a provision on (you for) a time
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
45.
wa idhaa qeela la hum mat+taquu maa bayna aydee kum
and when (its) told - with you all fear what (is) before hands yours
wa maa khal+fa kum la^alla kum tur+hamoon
and what (is) behind you - with getting your mercies (fixup)(restoration)

46.
wa maa ta^tee him min aayati min aayaati rabbi him
and (no matter) what reaches them from a sign from signs (of) Lord theirs
illaa kaanuu ^an ha mu^rideen
except did they upon that(sign)contradict (work against the effects)(turn away)

47.
wa idhaa qeela la hum an+fiquu mim maa razaqa kum ullaah
and when said back with them: spend from what provision yours (from) God
qaala al-ladhee na kafaruu li al-ladhee na aamanuu
said the ones unbelieving into the ones believing (acting in faith)
a nut^imu mal lau yashaa^ ullaahu at^amah
?(can) we feed (that is) not where the will (of) God (is for) feeding
in antum illaa fi dalaali mubeen
upon you (is nothing) except (you are ) in an anger (arrogance) clearly showing

48.
wa yaqooloo na mataa haadha al-wa^du in kun tum saadiqeen
and we all (strongly) say: when (is) this the promise, if were you(are)a true one

49.
maa an+zoor na illaa sayhata waahidat-an
no - we (have) a small (time, then it is) except (for) a hot blast a single
ta^khudhu hum wa hum yakhas+simoon
they (are) coagulated fluid(blood) and they (are) fighting (blaming each other)

50.
fa laa yastatee^oo na tausiyata
then (they are) not(able) transfixed (by the blast)(from) a disposal (of sins)
wa laa ilaa ah+li heem yar+ji^oon
and (they are) not upon families (of) theirs returning (able to continue)

51.
wa nufikha fi is-soori fa ^idhaa hum min al- aj+daathi
and we sound in the trumpet, then (thats) when they (are) from the graves
ilaa rabbi heem yan+siloon
upon (the) Lord (of) theirs (they are) rushing forth (fast coming out)

52.
qaaluu yaa wayla naa mam ba^atha naa mim mar+qadi naa
they said, oh deep woe (to)us, from what (is) ressurecting us from our resting?
haadhaa maa wa^ada ar-rah+maanu wa sadaq al-mur+saloon
this (is) from promises (of) the merciful and truthful (are) the messengers

53.
in kaanat illaa sayhata waahidat-an
then (this) came to pass (and is nothing) except a blast a single
fa ^idhaa hum jamee^ ul-laday naa muh+daroon
then come they gathered (and) they mix among encircled (contained like germs)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
54.
fa al-yauma laa tuz+lamu nafs-un shay^a
then that day no injustice (wrong) (is for) a soul (self) (for) things
wa laa tuj+zamu na illaa maa kuntu ta^maloon
and no reward (occurs) except (in) what came to pass (from) works (actions)

55.
inna as-saab al-jannat il-yauma fi shugul-in faakihoon.
verily the companions(of)the garden that day(are)in a joy(in) what is happening

56.
hum wa az+waaju hum fi thilaalin ^alaa al-araa^iki mut+taki^oon
they and their wives in shade have the providence - reclining (on thrones)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
57.
la hum fi haa fakihatu wa la hum maa yad+da^-oon
with them in her (the garden) fruits and with them whatever (is) asked
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
58.
salaamoon qaula mir rabb ir-raheem
blissful peace (is) a saying from a Lord (who is) the merciful compassion
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
59.
wa am+taaz ul-yauma ayyu ha al-muj+rimoon
seperate off (exile) this day oh you the guilty (of ripe sin)(criminals)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
60.
a lam a^had ilay kum yaa banee Aadam
? (didn't I ) not enjoin upon you oh children (of) Adam
al laa ta^budu ash-shaytaan
? with not worshipping (imitate)(find admirable) the satan (deceptive selfish rebel)
inna hu la kum ^adoow+wu mubeen
indeed he (was) in you an enemy avowed (clearly shown)?

61.
wa an i^budoo nee hadha siraati mustaqeem
and then you worship this way (form) straight (correct)(Godly)

62.
wa laqad adalla min kum jibil+l-an katheera.
and with that strayed from you a reqruitment vast
a fa lam takoonuu ta^kiloon
? why in (did) not you become thinking (intellectual)(learned)?

63.
haadhi hi jahan+nam al-latee kun tum too^adoon.
this (is) it a punishing hell the one being yours (as) promised
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
64.
islau haa al-yauma bi maa kun tum tak+firoon
embrace it this day in what was yours (for) disbelief (active rejection)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
65.
al-yauma nakh+timu ^alaa af+waahi him
this day we seal upon their mouths
wa tukal+limu naa aydee him
and speaking (will be from) their hands
wa tash+hadu ar+julu hum bi maa kaanuu yak+siboon
and witnessing (are) their feet in what was earned (accomplished)

66.
wa lau na shaa^u la tamas naa ^alaa a^yuni him
and if our decree then we (could put) destruction upon their eyes
fa astabaqu us-siraata fa annaa yub+siroon
then groping (on) the path, then without seeing

67.
wa lau na shaa^u lamasakh naa hum ^alaa makaanati him
and if our decree then we (could) transform them upon their places(inanimate)
fa mastataa^u mudeey+ya wa laaa yar+ji^oon
then stricken (from) progressing and not returning (either)

68.
wa man nu ^am+mir hu nu nak+kis hu fi il-khalq
and when we grant his longevity in the creation
a fa laa ya^qiloon
? (won't you) then not think (and)(understand)?

69.
wa maa ^al+lam naa hu ash-shi^ra wa maa yam+bage lah
and not taught (to) him(is)the poetry and (its) not fit (good enough) for him
in huwa illaa dhikru wa qur^aanu mubeen
from him (is nothing) except a reminder and a penetrating recitation divine

70.
li yun+dhira man kaana hayya wa yahiqq al-qaulu ^alaa al-kaafireen
in warning for you being alive and conviction charges (be) upon the rejector's

71.
a wa lam yarau annaa khaq naa la hum mim maa ^amilat aydee na
? and (are)not (you) seeing We created for you from works (of) my hands
an^aaman fahum lahaa maalikoon
cattle then you in that (are) a ruler (possessor)(consumer)

72.
wa dhal+lal naa haa la hum fa min haa rakoobu hum
and (we) created them (for) you then from that you ride (and pack)
wa min haa ya^akuloon
and from that (is) food

73.
wa la hum fi haa manaafi^u wa mashaarib : a fa laa yash+kiroon
and with you in them (is) many benefits and drinking? then (are) not grateful?
74.
wa at+takhadhuu min dun illahi aalihata la ^ala hum yun+saroon
and the taking from besides God a god (idol) not upon them (then is) help

75.
laa yastatee^oo na nas+ra hum wa hum la hum jundu muh+daroon
no power (to) help them and they in that an army troop surrounded
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
76.
fa laa yah+zun ka qaulu hum.
and (do) not grieve (because of) their talk
innaa na^lamu maa yusir+roo na wa maa yu^linoon
indeed we know what their secrets (are) and what (is) disclosed
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
77.
a wa lam ya ra al-insaanu annaa khalq naa hu min nut+fat-in
? and (is) not the man seeing? indeed We created him from a squirting (drips)
fa ^idhaa huwa khasimu mubeen
then (is) when they (are) opposite (adversary)(unclean) obvious (orgasm)(wet)

78.
wa daraba lanaa mathala wa nasiya khalqa
and makes in us a comparison and forgets his origin (creation)
qaala may yuh+yi il-^ithaama wa hiya rameem
(he) states : who(can) enliven the bones and these (are) decomposed (dry)?

79.
qul yuhee ha al-ladhee an+sha^a ha awwala marrah
say: he enlivens the ones (who) flourished happily (on the) first repeat (cycle)
wa huwa bi kulli khal+q-in ^aleem
and He (is) in all (things) a creator an all knowing

80.
al-ladhee ja^ala lakum mina ash-shajari il-akh+dari nar-an
the one (who) makes with you from the tree (shrub) the green a fire
fa ^idhaa antum min hu tooqidoon
then (is) when you from this kindle
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
81.
a wa lays al-ladhee khalaq as-samaawaati wa al-ard
? and (isn’t He) without (comparison?) the creator(of) the heavens and earth
bi qaadir-in ^alaa ay yakh+luqa mith+la hoom
in power upon when creating (by using) examples (from Himself)
ba laa wa Huwa al-khal+laaq ul-^aleem
indeed and He (is) the master creator the all knowing

82.
inna maa am+ru hu idhaa araada shai^-an
inndeed what He intends when likes a thing
ay yaqoolu na la hu kun fa yakun
then He talks (and) with Him (resonates) be (created), then (it) forms
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
83.
fa subhaan al-ladhee bi yadi hi malakootu kulli shai^i
then glorify the one in His hands (is) dominion (over) all things
wa ilay hi tur+ja^oon
and upon Him (is) a returning
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'ameen - sadaq allaahu al-azheem
Trust, Faith, truthful (is) God the tremendous
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“................whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain
heedless ( of the signs of God).” 36:6
“Behold. He (stands forth as) an open adversary.” 36:77 (Yusef Ali)
So in effect, when we recite the Yaa Seen for someone, we are asking for clemency for all
the actions that the person may have done in their life, because of our low, simple human
nature. In verse 6, it says their parents didn’t receive any light, and were heedless; and
so made children with gross weaknesses in their body, character and actions. That was
from how we were formed in intimacy, and in how we were trained, or poorly trained, if the
sense of the idea is taken correctly
