A. D. Matthews is a woman with a M.S. in Nuclear physics, so the book is quite scientifically correct, and you can tell as well that the intention for the book to be of use as a reference is clear.

Part 1 - Preparation & Intentions to Labbiyat

Labbayk Allaahuma labbayk ! - (I am) Responding to You, oh God, complying to You !

I intend to proceed, not copying the book, but describing incumbent (wajib) points that are noteworthy for the Hajj ifraad. Circumstances of governmental policies usually prevent Hajj qiraan, doing ‘Umra before making Hajj, and the number of days of the visa will not be enough to much more than fulfill the basic legal requirement. The religious authorities that control the holy areas now are using Qur’an and Sunnat to determine what is legal, and then offering that as the only option because of circumstances. After all, there will be about 1.5 million pilgrims present in the area, and the logistics and infrastructure of the physical area will determine what is practical and possible to actually accomplish. At the time of my Hajj, it was estimated that there were between 8 to 9 million people in the greater Jedda area, making business and serving Hajj.

There are many Sunnats that can be examined that can enhance the quality of your experience, but making the Hajj qiraan is not, sadly, one of them. Due to the immense task of preparing the area and making ready the animals that will be used for sacrificed for ‘Eyd, the entire process is evolved to meet that need singularly. Hajj can be extremely difficult physically, and to help people with basic needs, and preparing the tents for Mina and the surrounding area, all the “extras” other than necessity (wajib) is cut back. Of course, if you have enough money, you can get anything you want there, but I will leave it to you to debate the morality of that issue. As much as is done, you will see poor people running after trucks that contain water, and in some cases food, being in severe need in deserted places. For the sake of all of this, almost all of pilgrims are mufreed (fard deeds only).

There are also sunnat that say if you pray in the Medina haram for 40 consecutive times (wacht) that the weight of that deed will cancel out an entire life of heedlessness. The structure of your visa will prevent that, as you will not be allowed the number of days to complete that intention. This is to prevent people from thinking about being materialistic and heedless their whole life, then running to make 3 ‘Umra or Hajj with

At least 8 days in the Medina haram. Officials are preventing observing sunnat in that manner now because of the possibility of abuse. Of course, when possibilities are curtailed in this manner, you are not afforded the opportunity to intend advanced deeds. The debate of the how the holy areas are used is beyond the scope of this offering. The point is not to see how much you can get with, but take care in what you are able to do, and afford manners - not anger, to those around you and with the officials that are serving your needs.

Hajj Ifraad - Mufreed (fardan)

Preparation

Deeds (amal) - Clothe in ihraam - men use 2 towels - women dress as normal, but not bright colored; (guards in the Kab’a will remove you if you expose too much or wear bright colors, calling attention)

Intention (niyyat) - Why are you doing this? In the manner of God (fi sibiyl Allaah) or in the manner of the world (fi sibiyl ad-dunya)? Close examination of your intentions and sincerity is indicated.

Personal hygiene - you should have pubic and armpit hair shaved and all beard and hair dressing done, because part of the requirements of Hajj is not cutting hair and finger nails until the proper time finishes.

Bath (ghusl) is sunnat to do before entry, but if your situation is unable to accommodate you, wudhu is allowed. This would be like arriving on a plane and hitting the Hajj terminal where enough water is not available for that purpose. Make a bath before parting for transportation, having ihraam ready in your carry on baggage.

Nafl salaat al-ihraam

Performed before entering Haaram

Ihraam - If you have ihraam, you can don it on the plane.

Makhraj - The pilot will inform you that you are entering the area, and you will see men do it in the aisle pulling off clothing after the towels are on, and they are properly covered. I’m not saying this is good to do, but due to the lack of bathrooms in the plane, and how small they are, it happens. Women will find this part difficult, and will need clothing before hand.

Wuhu - keep a bottle of water & towel in your possession, refresh your ablution in the plane. You should be doing this anyway if you are reading Qur’an.

Salaat (2) - the plane will have a small open space, and men will take turns. Do it by sign in your seat if there is no space available because of over crowding. Get used to it, from then on you are on Hajj !

Declaration of Intentions - Hajj ifraan - Hajj without ‘Umra first (with or without sacrifice).

Initiation Prayer

Allaahuma inni !

Our God - Verily (You exist)

Ureedu ul-hajj ifraadan

I want (to make) the Hajj Ifraad (obligatory pilgrimage)

fa yassirhu liy,

Then ease (Hajj) for me.

wa taqabbalhu minniy.

And accept (Hajj) from me.

Nawaytu ul-hajja ifraadan,

I intend the obligatory pilgrimage,

wa ahramtu bihee mukhlisaan li illaahi ta’alaa.

And I consecrate (myself)(wear ihraam) sincerely for God Most High.

Blood Sacrice Intention (hadi)

You should be certain about the intention of sacrifice of a gift animal. Rasoolallaah (sal) followed in the footsteps of Ibraheem (as), and in this manner he brought the gift animal with him (sal) as Ibraheem (as) did. This is considered the best (qiraan) but you can get an animal there and have that done (you will not be allowed to do this without aid of officials), or fast 3 days before and 7 days after to compensate for not following sunnah. The fasting intention should be for that purpose alone, that is to start then finish the action of making sacrifice to God Most High, in the way of Ibraheem (as), as performed by Rasoolallaah (sal). In any case, you should be clear about what you are going to do, as you do have to pay for the animal if it is not includes in your tour package.

Enter Service - Talbiya li da’watihi (accept the invitation)(respond to a query)

Declaration of Response to Fard Obligation - Talbiyyat

Labbayk Allaahuma labbayk.

Verily (without doubt) the praise

wa an-na’imata laka wa al-mulk

And the gracious blessings (are) with You, and the Sovereignty,

Laa shariyka lak

No multiplicity (is) in You

Modern Translation

I am responding to Your commands, oh God, I am complying.

I am entering Your holy place having no associate god to You - I am coming, serving (as best I know).

Without doubt, all the praise and all the gratifying blessings are from You, by Your controlling force.

No created powers compare with Your eternal unified power.

Arrival

Pilgrims will arrive at the Hajj terminal, and from that point you will enter the consecrated place (haram) to reach Mekka. On the required day, 8th Dhul Hijja, you will enter the masjeed and do your fard tawaaf, the Tawaaf Quduwm. If you are blessed to have arrived early, you can make ‘Umra as long as you can complete it before the sun sets for 8th day of the lunar month. You will have to go outside of the holy area, make ghusl, and don ihraam again for Hajj as you finish an ‘Umra. You then make the intention to make Hajj, perform your 2 raka’ts, and begin the talbiyat for that intention. There are buses running to various places outside of haram for this purpose. But as you see pilgrims, officials, and merchants enter, it will become difficult everywhere.

Part 2 - Fulfilling Your Promise - A Covenant

Daily Agenda of Hajj Ifraad

8th

Salaat ul-Fajr - By the 8th, arrive in Mecca in ihraam (state of consecration) check into your lodging. Rest if you have time because after the fajr prayer, you will be conducting your Tawwaf al-Qudoom, the ancient circumambulation.

Tawaaf - Starting at the south corner, where the black stone is mounted is where you start, no matter what door you enter. You join the tawwaf, and when you see the marking on the floor and green light, you start. Say: b’ismillaah, allaahu akbar, al-hamdu lillaah (istalaam). Then recite as your group is, or as you know as better. Believe it or not, it may be difficult to keep track of how many circuits you have performed, so fix a way to count (fingers). Make 7 circuits saying istalaam upon passing the south corner markers. It is good to touch the black stone or kiss it, but that will be difficult because of all the people there trying to do that at once. It’s your choice, but expect to get battered if you try. Stay out of Hateem, as it is an ancient graveyard of 51 souls.

Salaat Maqaum al-Iraheem - Perform 2 raka’t salaat and make dua’. Men and women will be mixing somewhat, so be careful to guard your prayer and not be angry about people stepping in front of you and not being able to get close to the shrine. If you do, you will see what appears to be footprints in a rock, made by Ibraheem (as). This is the only masjeed where it is allowed for men and women to mix freely.

‘Ayn al-Zum-Zum - Go to the steps that lead down to the well of Zum-Zum. Drink and wash. Renew your ablution if you need to. It is not good to stay there, but resting a little is OK.

Sa’iy - Starting at Safaa, making 7 passes, and ending marwa, make the rite of Saiy. After the passes, make 2 raka’t salaat near the area, where it is open to do so. Make 3 more circuits of tawwaf to prepare to meet the tent city at Mina until the next day.

9th

Maqaum ‘Arafat - You perform your salaat al-fajr in Mina, then board your transport to the plain of ‘Arifat. Due to congestion, it will take time, but the requirement is to reach there to your tent by dhuhr salaat. In any case this is the most important and concentrated time (rukn), so be sincere in deed and intention. Recite the Talbiyya, tasbih, dhikr, fikr, and Qur’an without counting, as Ashabah (rd) did.

Dhuhr & ‘asr salaat is combined, as a traveler. You can miss all the rest of the events, making only the Tawaaf az-ziyaara (rukn) upon exiting ihram, thereby finishing your Hajj.

Contemplation - If you have extra time, spend it concentrating on your duties, and not in shopping, riding camels, and other heedlessness. Contemplate the story of Adam and Hawwa’s (Eve) fall & reconciliation. Sunnat is: laa ilaaha illa allaahu wahdahu laa shariyka lahu, lahu al-mulku wa lahu ul-hamdu, yuhyiy wa yumeet, wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in qadir. (4th Kalima). No god is except God - One without associate with Him, with Him is the dominion and with Him is all the praise, reviving and surpressing, and He is upon all things in total control.

Jabbal Rahma - You will be surprised about the small size of Jabbal Rahma, however when you see it recite: subhan allaahi wa al-hamdu lillaahi, wa allaahu Akbar, wa laa haula wa la quwwata illa billah, wa huwa al-’aliyyu ul-’azheem. (3rd Kalima). Glory is to God, and all the praise is to God, and God is Greatest, and no physical might and no spiritual dominion is except by God, and He Most High and Tremendous (without peer or comparison). Then make Fathiha. You can also make istalaam and istaghfar and talbiyya with no counting or limit. b’ismillaah, allaahu akbar, al-hamdu lillaah (istalaam).

10th - ‘Eyd al-Adhaa

Travel and make prayer and preparing to spend the night in Muzdelifa. You will pass an area known as wadi an-nar, precinct of the hell fire. It is also called the wadi al-hashshir, the precinct of the re-gathering, or the place where gathering takes place before yaum al-qiyyama and yaum ad-deen, the day of stand up (for examination) and the day of judgment (you get your decree). Take note that disbelievers were destroyed here by fire in ancient times, and during the time mentioned in surat al-Fil. Recite: Allaahumma laa taqtulna bi ghadabika wa laa tuhlikna bi ‘adhaabika wa ‘aafina qabl dhaalik. Oh God, no cursing on us, no anger on us, and no torment by Your punishment, and excuse us before that happens.

Maghrab and ‘isha salaats are combined as a traveler. You must do this in Muzdelifa, or you do over.

Muzdelifa Open Space - under the stars - Rest and spend the night awake in contemplation. This is the place where the historical events of surat al-Fil occurred. Pay heed to all the history described by Qur’an and Sunnah, for many ancient events happened in Muzdelifa. Don’t be disturbed by people answering the call to toilet in a manner that seems improper. Although this situation has been improved, if you must, most likely it will be there in the sand. With no water you will be doing tayyamum ablution with clean sand and use odd numbers of small rocks, to clean yourself. Men are required to stay, but women and elderly may return to Mina. Make istalaam, istaghfar, dhikr, fikr, Qur’an and contemplate the fact that you will be seeing this place again, after the barzkhi grave life we will be gathered here.

Fajr salaat - pray and then travel to Mina, back where you started. Get your 72 stones for Jamaarat.

Jamaraat - wash your 72 bean sized stones and go to the 3 Jamaraat areas and stone the shaytan.

Sacrifice - you bring your gift animal and sacrifice her. If you have employed people as your proxy, or if you intend to fast without sacrifice, wait until you are sure the sacrifice time is over.

Shave/cut hair - unless you have a scalp condition, you should have hair, and you cut it after the sacrifice. Women are allowed to cut short, 1 finger long, but not shaved like men. You will be walking in a sea of cut hair up to your ankles.

Tawaaf al-Ziyaarat - 2nd best time of Hajj. Re-enter Mekka and do that tawaaf

Return to Mina. Before Maghreb, you should be back. Gather 21 stones for the next day at the Jamaarat.

11-13th

Stay in tent city. Food will either be there, or be provided by your tour agency.

Jamaraat each day. Get and wash 21 date pit sized pebbles. Not from Mekka, but from Muzdelifa or Mina. It is not allowed to re-collect stones from the Jamaarat area, as they are dirty to Allaah during Hajj.

Tawwaf as-Sadr - the farewell to Hajj in preparation to leave. When you finish this, you take ihraam off, and you are no longer consecrated as a pilgrim. You no longer do the talbiya, as the promise (wad’a) is fulfilled to the best of your ability. You are free to visit places and shop and perform salaat in the Kaba’ area as you wish.

‘Umra - after Hajj, if you have time and resources to make journey, take your ihram out of Miqat, make ghusl or wudhu, and make the intention with talbiya to make ‘umra. Tawwaf, salaat Ibraheem (as), zum-zum, sa’iy, 2 farewell salaat, all the same as Hajj, except cutting hair which will be just shaving off the fuzz. You may also make a farewell tawwaf after completing ‘Umra, and you depart for Haram in Medina.

Talbiyya - after intending Hajj, and at any time until hair is cut, recite endlessly, knowing.

Niyyat Tawaaf - approaching the Masjeed Miqat

B’ismillaah ir-rahmaan ir-raheem

Allaahumma inni - ureedu tawaaf baytak al-haraami

God, Certainly - I desire circumambulation of Your house, the sanctified and powerful

Fa yassirhu liy

Then You ease it for me

Wa taqabblhu miniy saba’atin li illaahi at’alaa ‘azza wa jall

And You accept from me 7 for God Most High, Mighty and Majestic

Oh God, certainly You are ! - I desire to make circumambulation of Your house (as You said in the Qur’an and sunnat) recognizing the holiness and magnitude that must needs be accepted and understood. As I do this, make me correct in that act of worship, helping me if somehow I make mistakes or become heedless & bewildered. Please accept and receive unto Yourself the 7 circuits for Your pleasure, for You are the God who is Most High above all, Mighty and Majestic, making difficulty upon the faults and lapses, as You will.

Allahuma aghfir liy dhunuwbiy wa aftah liy abwaab rahmaatika.

Oh God, forgive from me my dirty sins, and open to me doors of Your Mercies

Through the Name of the God to whom all praise is justly due,

And also through the graceful intercession upon Your Messenger (also justly due),

Oh God, forgive my dirty & heedless sins through opening many doors of Your Mercy to me.

B’ismillaah ir-rahmaan ir-raheem

Wa qul rabbi adkhilnee mudkhala sidqin

80. And say: My LORD, introduce an entrance, a true & sincere

wa akhrijnee mukhraja sidqin

And deliver an exit, a true & sincere (similarly)

wa aj’al lee min ladunka sultanan naseeran.

81. And make in me from Your intimate presence, a strong command, a help

Wa qul; jaa’ al-haqqu wa zahaqa al-batilu

And say: comes the Reality and retreats/faints the falshood

inna al-batila kana zahooqan

Undoubtedly, the falsehood becomes withers away (being of no strength)

The Hajj in 1 Ayat Allaah - 17:80

The Barakat of “min ladunka sultaanan naseeran” Sidqin & Sajeda .

This is when Rasoolallaah (sal) was being challenged by other religious groups, particularly Jews. When the command came to change the Kaba’ from al-Qudds & Haraam as-Shareef to Mekka Mukarraama & Miqat, these groups attempted to persuade Rasoolallaah to reconsider. They wanted to keep their Taurat words and their preferred position rather than what was revealed by Jibra’el (as). As they resisted vigorously, their position became untenable and false, and in rebellion they were making implementation of the Qur’an nearly impossible for Rasoolallaah (sal) and the Ashabahi (rd) by their natural human strength.

So as Rasoolallaah (sal) considered his weakness (similar to Ibraheem (as) considering his weaknesses) in the face of the unbelievers established and organized resistance, he (sal) received these ayat allaah; Isra’ 17:80-111; as a divine intercession that spiritually dispelled any weakness and indecision in his (sal) leadership, and support both is his (sal) mud~khal (entering success in Yathrib) and his makh~raj (exiting hoping for success in Mekka). The words explain what was happening in Reality and Power (min al-laduna li rabbinaa), before if manifested in form.

We are reciting this hoping for a similar result, min ladunka, from God’s haraam (consecrated holy area) gaining His skilled leadership and divine help, that dispels our darkness through the Haqq. We have exited from God’s presence (laduna) to this world (mukhraj) and we are entering this world anew each day (madkhal) from the falsehood (batil). So in Hajj Ifaraad, we are acting that out as our fulfillment of God’s invitation, a covenant.

First Site of Kaba’- Looking at Kaba’ is an act of worship, and can only be done in Miqat, and is not open to all men, and this very act of beholding will be a proof to God and angels you are a Muslim, a confirmed one that has accepted the command to return, and thereby receive the Promise just due from that deed.

Rasoolallaah is reported to have made 2 dhikrs at first sight of Kaba’:

Allaahu Akbar, laa ilaaha illa allaahu, allaahu Akbar

God if Great, there is no god except GOD, God is Great

&

‘audhu bi rabbi il-bait min al-kufr, wa al-faqri,

I seek refuge in the LORD of the house from destitute poverty,

wa min daiyq as-sadri, wa ‘adhaaba al-qabri

and from narrow heartedness, and from the torture in the grave.

I seek refuge in the LORD that created this house and is sustaining it, and by that same Power, may I have a heart full of His Grace, and success in every aspect of life materially and spiritually, and never be tortured after I die, in the grave or after that, through that same Power and Grace.

Dua’ Aswad al-Hijr

Sunnat prayer of Rasoolallaah (sal) at the black stone.

B’ismillaah ir-rahmaan ir-raheem

Allaahumma anta as-salaam wa minka as-salaam

Oh God, You are the peace and from You comes the peace

fa hayynaa rabbanaa bi is-salaam

So enliven us LORD by the peace

allaahumma zid baytaka hadha tashrifan,

Oh God, increase You house with that dignifying honor

Wa ta’azheemana wa takreeman wa hahabatan

And magnified awe, and bountiful blessings, and intoxicating love

Wa zid man hajjahu aw i’tamara tashreefan

And increase from pilgrimage by Your commands dignifying honor

Wa takreeman wa ta’azheeman wa birran

And bountiful blessings and magnified awe and sanctified righteousness

Oh God, You are the submission that leads to peace,

You are the only source of the submission that lead to peace,

so by that attribute, enliven and establish through Yourself, this submission and peace in us.

Oh God, increase and bless Your house and hajj with this:

A dignified pure honor like Your honor and word of promise,

A bountiful blessing according to Your bounty and compensation,

An intoxicating love of You through a love You alone can bestow on hajj,

Oh God increase through Your strength & command of pilgrims:

A dignified honor through Your honor and commitment,

A bounteous blessing through Your ability to promote & sustain,

A magnified awe and comprehension of You, the Tremendous one,

And an enduring sanctified righteousness through Your purity.

Doing the Circulation - Saba’ Shawaat - 7 circulations are alike.

Niyyat - dua’ to make Tawaaf al-Qudoom, Tawaaf az-Ziraara.

Bab as-Salaam - make dua’.

Entering - recite Talbiyya, Takbir, Tahleel, and nafl dua’.

Hijr al-Aswad - Qur’an and dua’. As you approach the south corner, set all your intentions in effect.

Istalaam - b’ismillaah, allaahu akbar, al-hamdu lillaah. In the Name of God, God is Greatest, all Praise is for God. As you pass this corner, stop Talbiyya & salute Hijr al-Aswad, starting the 1st shawaat.

Dua’ - Make the dua’ after the sunnat

Dhikr - istalaam, tasbeh allaah

Rukn Yemaani - if you can get close, you also may touch the corner, placing your chest and your cheek on the stones. Keep in mind that so many sick people are doing that. Use Kleenex virus resistant tissues. After all, you don’t wat to be sick in Medina Munawara, at prophets (sal) masjeed.

Istalaam - 6 times in all. Istalaam, dua, dhikr, rukn yamaani, dhikr, nafl dua’; repeat.

7th - Istalaam - with closure dua’ at Bab Multa’azheem

Bab al-Multa’azheem - a special place , where again you can try to raise your arms, touch your chest and cheek to the Kaba’, ad make your requests. Prayers here will be like on Jabbal ar-Rahmaa, always heard directly. Expect to be battered, since you are very close to the hijr al-aswad, and it is a frenzy to be around that area. Bab Multa’azheem, Rukn Yamaani, Hijr al-Aswadi, Muqaam al-Ibraheem; all these are special, and so for that reason there is much rudeness and difficulty, and sometimes outright violence. Keep patient.

Maqaam al-Ibraheem (as) - make 2 raka’t, ad dua’

‘Ayn al-Zum-zum - Sa’iy - after Maqaam al-Ibraheem, you are done with tawaaf. Move to next steps

Rabbina aatiyna fi id-duniya hasanan,

LORD, give in the world a fine success

wa fi il-akhirati hasanan,

and in the afterlife a fine success,

wa aqina adhaaba an-nar.

and keep us from the torture I the hell fire.

Wa adkhalnaa al-jannata ma’a al-abraari

And enter us in the garden paradise with the righteous purified

Yaa ‘azeez, yaa gaffer, yaa rabbi il-’aalameen

Oh Mighty, Oh Forgiver, Oh LORD of the total universes

1st Cycle

Dua’ Bab Multa’azheem - done near the Hijr al-Aswad, Bab al-Multa’azheem, Muqaum Ibraheem (as)

B’ismillaah ir-rahmaan ir-raheem

Subhan allaahi, wa al-hamdu li illaahi, wa allaahu Akbar.

Glory is Gods, and all praise is for God, and God is Greatest

Glorification comes from GOD and is to God, all praise happens because of GOD’s attributes and because of that, GOD is the only and greatest, because everything originates in Him.

Wa laa haula wa laa quwwata illa bi illaahi, al-’aliyyu al-’azheem.

And no heavenly power and no earthly power is except through God

No kind of power of any kind earthly or heavenly can perform except by GOD’s will, and because He is High Uplifted from our mundane understanding and Tremendous in Power to create, sustain, and correct from faults.

As-salaat wa as-salaam ‘alaa rasoolallaah

The gratifying prayer and the surrendering peace be upon the Messenger of God

salla allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,

Gracing prayer of God be upon him, and submitting peace.

Allaahumma imaanan bika wa tasdeeqaan bi kalimaatika

Oh God, faith is in You, and fulfilling by Your word

Almighty GOD, through faith-certitude-determination to You, through Your own righteous fulfilling commitment through Your words (pronounced when the creation became)(qun fa yaqun).

wa wafaa’aan bi ‘ahdika wa iyyibaa’aan li sunnati nabiyyika

And redemption by touching You and showing/exposing by the edifying example of Your Prophet

Through your pardon and pity You touch and transmit and expose to everything by the edifying correction and external example of Your prophet. (Ibraheem [as] & Muhammad [sal])

wa habeebika muhammadun salla allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam

By Your beloved Muhammad, graceful prayer of GOD be upon him, and surrendering peace.

Allaahumma inni as’aluka al-‘afwa wa al-‘aafiyta

Oh GOD, verily by You, I ask the pardon/stay (of execution) and well being

GOD, through Your capability, I ask the pardon and pity for what I have done, withholding Your punishment or removing it all together; and providence for what I will do, with a guidance & well being & success & and health only You can provide.

wa al-mu’aafaat ad-daa’imata fiy ad-deen

By the dispensation/exemption the eternal through the judgment

I forswear & confirm through my tawaaf, this vast & effective merciful pardoning power, and the eternally vigilant administration of all of the worlds from beginning to end, by the primal established throne of judgment established an extolled by Hajj to this house, a favorable reward (ijaza’) befitting Your Equity (’adl) and Fairness (qist) and Decree (qismet), and not my bewildered feeble deeds and expectations.

Wa ad-dunyaa

By this world

Forsworn & confirmed now to occur in this world through a success and well being worthy of Your will.

wa al-akhtrati bi al-jannati

By the last existence bi the garden paradise

Forsworn confirmed now in the next world with my hope for the garden (like Adam [as] was returned to).

wa an-najaata min an-naari

By the salvation/elevation from the hell fire

Forsworn confirmed now as the promised salvation to safety from the hell fires You have prepared for those not pitied or accepted here, who make folly and heedlessness of Your invitation.

2nd Cycle

B’ismillaah ir-rahmaan ir-raheem

Allaahumma inni hadha al-baita baituka wa al-haramuka

Oh GOD, through might; this house is Your house and sanctified precinct

Oh GOD - Your witness is surety; We know by Your power that this house is Your house because of Your Power and Your sanctified holiness that is manifest everywhere in every way to everything.

wa al-amna amnuka

and this tranquility is Your tranquility

The tranquil awe and satisfaction we feel is because You are LORD of awe and tranquil inspired satisfaction.

wa al-’abdu ‘abduka wa anaa wabnu ‘abdika

and this service is as Your sevice is, and I am similarly serving You

Loving service comes because You lovingly serve, and I emulating Your loving service because You are serving me. Returning this duty as a similar duty is justly due, as your prophets (as) have clearly shown.

wa hadhaa maqaum ul-‘aa’idh bika min an-naar

and by this established station the ultimate refuge in You suppresses the hell fire

This is established firmly as a high station we use to seek refuge in You alone, from any forms of hell fire.

fa harrim luhoomanaa wa bashartana ‘alay an-naar

so then forbid our bodies and minds (to experience) upon the hell fire

Make forbidden our bodies and minds and existence in all ways, and never allow us to dwell in the hell fire in any way, or any time, as it seeks to pull us to damnation. Cleanse our past, and sustain and guide our future, in any dimension that this may require, according to the profound example and power shown by this sanctuary.

Allaahumma habbib ilayna al-’eemaana wa zayyinhu fiy quloobinaa

Oh GOD, by loving, bestow upon us through our faith and inspired passion, a love for You in our heart.

Oh GOD, by Your love You have bestowed our faith in You, so through that faith and through heartfelt inspiration, bestow and sustain our love for You. In faith we remain until there is perfect love between us that is one unified love and inspiration in our heart with absolutly no flaw or stint, eternally acting as long as Your house exists to serve Your pleasure (salaw tawheed).

wa karrih ilayn al-kufra wa al-fusooqa al-’isyaana

and surpress in us the disbelief and the license and rebellion

Make us hate all kinds of compulsion that rise against You, taking the forms of wilfull disobedience against authority both conscience and cannon; dissolute licentiousness in evil thoughts and actions; and violence against Your Mercy and the instruments of Your mercy; particularly this house where You alone are performing Mercy. Bind all shaytans that rise, both inner and outer, attempting to render futile the efforts and success of Your guests that have heard and responded to Your call to come to this sanctified holy precinct, expecting in the manner of Ibraheem (as), to receive the fulfillment of Your promise in covenent faith.

wa ja'alna min ar-raashideen

and make us among the discerning refined ones

Fashion us worthy to become companions to those whom You have refined, therefore making them un-erring in every way possible for a human. Fashion us being fully acceptable in Your judgment, to be close to You and those You have chosen to be close, similarly.

Alaahumma qiniy ‘adhaabaka yauma tab'athu 'ibaadika

Oh GOD, protect and spare me on the day of resurrection of Your servants

Oh GOD, on the day You resurrect us to our station according our deeds, through the power You have placed in this holy sanctuary, spare us from the profound punishment we deserve. In stead, mercifully perceive this action of Hajj, and all the times we have worked to realize and make perfect our Hajj for Your pleasure.

allaahumma arzuqni il-jannata bi ghayri hisaab

Oh GOD, sustain me in the garden paradise by removing reckoning

Oh GOD, may this circumambulation be a cause of protection and sustenance in the paradise, and make removed far away the interrogation that is reserved for those parts of myself that have not been refined from ignorance and heedlessness. Oh LORD, make this circumambulation a hedge and a pleasing sight between my sins and Your Presence (ladun), and through Your pleasure forego the displeasure of my reckoning.

3rd Cycle

B’ismillaah ir-rahmaan ir-raheem

allaahumma inni ‘audhu bika,

Oh GOD, verily obvious, I seek refuge in You

Oh GOD, manifest surety; I seek refuge in You, as seeking refuge in created things other than You is futile.

min ash-shakki wa ash-shirki

from the doubt and the associations

and from disbelief through crippling doubt and stupidity to Your ways; and from seeking refuge in lower powers that seem eternal, but in Reality depend on You for sustenance themselves, and the glittering falsehood of illusion that seems to make them seem efficacious and desirous of being worshipped and imitated.

wa ash-shiqaaqi wa in-nifaaqi

and the separatist elitism and the envious hypocrisy

and the elitist splintering sectarianism that divides the believers one upon the other, and away from God’s edifying way; and the falsehood of people who perform like actors on a stage to please others for their selfish interest, and shun God’s pleasure for the vain glorious acceptance of others, and who turn to lies and deceit to prevent discomfort in their ego, and the respect of others they ingratiate themselves to for favors, by envy.

wa suw’i al-akhlaq

and the lowness of the creation

and from the nature of the creation as it creeps and infiltrates through debased activity, ruining faith & service.

wa suw'i manzhari

and debased outlook & aspiration

and from the debasement that occurs when aspiration to God is replaced by creative inspiration that leads to a lifestyle that is not in accord with Reality, but feels good to the flesh and mind.

wa al-munqalabi fiy al-maali

and the dissenting & rebellious through mundane diversity

and from the dissentions that invoke rebellion against God and His ways; by the swelling, always expanding science and philosophy that exalts itself against faith in God through external material outlook, forsaking the inner transcendence that leads to unity (tawheed) and knowledge of God and His sovereignty (mulk).

wa al-ahli wa al-waladi

and the restless anxiety and the racism & family ties

and from the anxiety and discomforting fear that comes from not having faith in God; and from the ties to false religion, dissolute government, racial superiority, inhuman cultural freedom, financial materialism, ties to blood relatives, and attachments of all kinds that are cut off at the time of death and that lead to favoritism, prejudice and other human rights abuse. I seek refuge from the kind of justice that God does not have.

allaahumma inni as'aluka ridaaka wa al-jannata

Oh GOD, surety I ask, seeking Your propitiation and the garden paradise

Oh GOD, surety, I ask through Your approval, and from that comes the propitiation (nijaat) that leads to the garden paradise and all the gracious satisfaction that is bestowed when God finds pleasure from His creation.

wa a'udhu bika min sakhatika wa an-naari

and I seek refuge in You from Your displeasure and the fire

and I seek refuge in You from Your displeasure and withholding gracious benefits that make life satisfying, then results in something that seems like hell fire, living the life of god without GOD’s life.

allaahumma inni a'udhu bika min fitnati al-qabri

Oh GOD, surety, I seek refuge in You from trials & tribulation & affliction in the grave life.

wa 'audhu bika min fitna al-mahyaa wa al-mamaati

and I seek refuge in You from trials & affliction in living without success and dying in pain & bewilderment.

4th Cycle

allaahumma aja'alhu hajjaa mabrooran wa sa'yaan mashkooran wa dhanbaan maghfooran.

Oh GOD, make Hajj accepted righteous and speed toward merit and many sins abated

Oh GOD, You make pilgrimage righteous and therefore acceptable to You; and make me run, speeding to merit in Your eyes as a grateful responding one; and every sin I have made and will make be abated and attoned for, by Your ongoing forgiveness.

wa 'amalaan saalihaan maqboolaan wa tijaaratan lan taboor.

and works that are good & received up front and trade then resulting & following

and make my works good and useful and received in front of anything else I do; and make my bargaining & exchange I offer a cause for repetition; accept my pathetic offerings in trade for Your pure offerings then continue in that again and again, everlasting, and You alone understand why You like this kind of trade

yaa 'aalima maa fiy as-sudoori

Oh knower, see what is in my chest & heart

knowing what I think and feel spiritually on an invisible level.

ikhrijniy yaa allaahu min azh-zhulumaati ilay an-noori

I am exiting, Oh GOD, from the manifest darkness, unto the light

I am exiting by You, Oh GOD, no longer seeking and enjoying darkness, and through Your Light of Reality You are cleansing all results of that darkness, to such extent that I no longer even remember and certainly not crave the darkness. I am preferring Your Light which shows me all falsehoods and makes them flee, before I am even aware, You invisibly see. So profound is Your grace above the weight of You displeasure.

allaahumma inni as'aaluka muwjibaati rahmatika wa 'azaa'ima maghfiratika

Oh GOD, surety, I ask You through these obligations, Your mercy, tracing from Your recurring forgiving.

Oh GOD, verily, by Your power; I am asking again and again through repeating tawaaf and other prayers, that form Your obligatory deeds (wajeeb) which necessities & calls Your mercies in all dimensions seen and unseen; and from that You comfort us with the recurring forgiveness that comes automatically, traced back originally to Your power alone.

wa as-salaamata min kulli ithmin

and peaceful satisfaction with all precious valuables

and submitting & surrendering satisfied with the vast array of precious and rare valuables, both seen and unseen, that is unique and befitting by Your standards of usefulness and gracious appeal.

wa al-ghaniy mata min kulli birrin

and the richness here with every righteousness

and lacking no access to spiritual richness and presence which comes from the vast array of refined pure righteousness which imitates & flatters You, oh GOD, and comes and is manifest through Your power alone.

wa al-fauza bi il-jannati

and the signs of triumph in the garden paradise

and the entrance to the garden paradise of felicity is shown by the signs of victorious triumph, witnessing GOD and His decorated prophets example; by physical station and voracity, by deliverance from impossible situations, and through wisdom and understanding from secret sources.

wa an-najaata min an-naar.

and the uplifting salvation from the hell fire

and healing and inspiration and strength and deliverance prevents any entrance to states of hell, like weakness, pain, disease, immorality, poverty, stupidity, folly, and all the distractions that steal and disrupt any grace that GOD has bestowed, leaving us cut off (abtar) from any future success and proximity to GOD.

rabbi qanni'niy bimaa razaqtaniy

LORD, content & satiate by that sustenance alone

LORD, make us happy, contented, and satisfied in our human share, not jealous of inhuman aspirations and the kind of inhuman sustenance which must needs come to fulfill that ignorant aspiration. Instead, by Your providence alone, seal off that ignorance and the portions befitting ignorance, leaving us content with You alone. Oh LORD, give us the reality to discern good from bad, and make us good. LORD, through this justice, make Yourself and what You want us to be as mankind, enough for us.

wa baarik liy fiymaa a'taytaniy

and graciously bless in me by what is granted

and make Your grace and blessings enough for me, trusting in that dispensation, as we accept You are acting on our behalf by a wisdom You alone can understand and then bestow.

wa akhluf 'alaa kulli ghaa'ibatin liy minka bi khayr.

and abstain & leave upon every straying temptation in me, from Your goodness

and make us abstain & ignore any impulses calling all the many temptations and difficulties and ignorance that arise in worldly life; from Yourself make me know about and accept the good willingly, without stint.

5th Cycle

allaahumma azhillaniy tahta azhilli ‘arshika yaum

Oh GOD, shade me below the canopy of Your support

Oh GOD, Surely by You alone, preserve & protect me under Your canopy on Your judgment day.

laa zhilla illaa zhilla ‘arshika wa laa baaqiya illa wajhaka

no shelter except the shelter of Your support and no survival except by Your direction & influence

there is no shelter except the shelter Your ruling throne provides and no survival & continuance will occur except through Your countenance, the edifying directions and providence of Your supporting throne('arsh).

wa asqiniy min haudi nabiyyika sayyidina Muhammadin

and drink & bathe from the source of Your prophet master Muhammad,

inundate & flood us by drink and cleansing and overabundance from your spring of ZumZum (kauthir), the same as You did for Your Prophet (sal), our master owner Muhammad (sal).

salla allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam

prayerful intercession of GOD be upon him and surrendering peace

sharbatan haniy’atan mariy’atan laa nazmaa’u ba’adahaa abadan.

drink & saturate, incline & pity, anoint everywhere, with no commotion & enmity in due course

make us drink in from You, as You are inclining and pitying, anointing every aspect of our lives, so much so that there is no disturbance, commotion, or enmity with us, as this occurs in due course of time.

allaahumma inni as’aluka min khairi ma saa’alaka minhu nabiyyuka

Oh GOD, surety, I ask from goodness like You answered from Yourself to Your Prophet

Oh GOD, surety, I am asking You from Your goodness & efficacy to receive the same answers from You, that came from You, to Your Prophet (Muhammad [sal], Ibraheem [as])

sayyiduna Muhammad salla allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

Our Master Muhammad prayerful intercession be upon him, and surrendering peace

a’udhu bika min sharri maa asta’aadha bika minhu nabiyyuka

I seek refuge in You from evil like the ongoing refuge in You, by You, on Your Prophet

I seek refuge in You from evil in myself and from outside myself, similar to the never ending refuge You afforded, by Yourself only, to Your Prophet (Muhammad [sal], Ibraheem [as])

sayyidunaa Muhammadun salla allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

Our Master Muhammad prayerful intercession of GOD be upon him, and surrendering peace.

allaahumma inni as’aluka al-jannata wa na’imaha

Oh GOD, surety, I ask You for the paradise and Your happy blissful contentment

wa maa yuqarribuniy ilaaha min qaulin au fi’lin au ‘amalin

and by pulling me close upon her, by words, then deeds, then works

and by the same pulling close and entering to the paradise, is shown manifest by my words, actions, and accomplishments that I have fashioned from that proximity, witnessing I am in her.

wa a’udhu bika min an-naari

and I seek refuge in You from the hell fire

wa maa yuqarribuniy ilaahaa min qaulin au ‘amalin.

and not pulling me close upon her, from word then deed.

and do not pull me close and proximate to the hell fire by my words and accomplishments.

6th Cycle

allaahumma inni laka ‘alaa huqooqan kathiyratan fiymaa

Oh GOD, surety, from You upon rulings, many in that

Oh GOD, surely You are, from Your many divine decrees upon perverse diversity,

wa bayn wa baynaka wa huqooqan kathiyratan fimaa

and showing evidence and Your showing proof, make rulings plentiful in that

and by clear evidence (bayyan) with me and by clear evidence from You, countless divine estimates and decrees issue from that to distinguish between my deviation and Your holy perfection.

bayni wa bayn khaliqka

my evidence and evidence of Your creation similarly

Your divine evidence & record differs from Your creations records, and these differences explain and extol Your superiority, clearly showing from the obvious character between the 2 records.

allaahumma maa kaana laka minhaa

Oh GOD, surety, that exists from You and from her

Oh GOD, surety You are unique, from that firm high station (makanat), what is from You is shown and what is from creation is also shown, and in that divine counsel (majlis), evidence is presented & rulings made.

faa aghfirhu liy wa kana li khalqika fa tahammalhu ‘anniy

then You forgive me and make in Your creation a need to carry on with that

so then Oh GOD, forgive me by taking notice of my tawaaf & supplication, and make that a cause for Your creation to see, and establish in her from Your carrying, nurturing, and mercy, help for me and her. As You establish me, and carry me, so may I see & help creation by a similar mercy, honoring Your high station.

wa aghnini bi halaalika ‘an haraamka

and enrich me by Your proper good, away from Your illegal

and free me from spiritual and physical need through Your vast capacity and inexhaustible richness of power, wisdom, and grace. Make Your acceptable wisdom and providence suppress Your unacceptable wisdom and providence, which manifests in manners like indifference, laziness, dysfunction, ingratitude

wa bi ta’atika ‘an ma’siyatika

and through You prevail & subdue upon insolent rebellion.

and through Your power to subdue, You prevail upon the defiance, insurgence, secrecy, and rebellion that You have created as portions that belong to the creation, not acceptable for humanity.

wa bi fadlika ‘an min siwaaka yaa waasi’a al-maghfirat.

and by Your favor & preference with Your regulation that calls expansion of the forgiveness

and through You preferential treatment for humanity, You equalize & regulate everything that is not favoring what you favor, thereby expanding & calling forth the forgiveness that makes us independent of anything except You, and those You favor.

allaahumma inni baytaka ‘azheemun wajahaka kareemun

Oh GOD, surety, Your house, a tremendous influence & direction, generous & noble befitting You

Oh GOD, verily You are, Your house and Your miqat are tremendous signs of Your countenance which is inspiring, directing explaining, and edifying through Your honor and beneficence that is befit Your station.

wa anta yaa allaahu haleemun kareemun ‘azheemum

and You, Oh GOD, are clement, beneficent, and of tremendous effect in Your ability to bless.

tuhubbu al-’afwana faa ‘afu’anniy.

loving & preferring kind forgiving dispensation, being so, then excuse & forgive me, by Your love.

7th Cycle

allaahumma inni as’aluka iymaanan kamilaan wa yaqiynan saadiqan

Oh GOD, surety You are, I ask You for perfected faith and certain righteousness

Oh GOD, surety, I ask You for the totality of perfected faith, certitude, and determination and total trust of righteousness and credible veracity (tawwakal).

wa rizqaan wa aasi'aan wa qalbaan khaashi’an

and good provision and effective striving, and a heart of humble submission

wa lisaanaan dhaakiraan

and a tongue remembering

and a tongue that remembers You all the time, both silently in heart and manifest in voice

wa rizqaan halaalaan tayyibaan

and provisions legal and healthy

and a food and sustenance that is both legal and nutritious, so I may have clear health and strength

wa taubatan nasoohatan

and repentance counsel & companionship (sayyid Nasihat (sal))

wa taubatan qabla al-mauti

repentance before the death (with the fear and distress that comes with that moment abated)

wa raahatan ‘inda al-mauti wa al- maghfiratan

and gentle entrance to that belonging the death, through the forgiveness

and through Your forgiveness, give a gentle entrance with comfort to dying, separate from the ugliness & pain that belongs to the death disbelievers will experience in the hell fire.

wa raahatan ba'da al-maut

and gentle repose after the death (from the torments of the grave)

wa al-’afwa ‘inda al-hisaabi

and the excuse me from being with those belonging with the reckoning (make the angels questions light)

wa al-fauzi bi il-jannati

and the signs of victory by way of the paradise (unbound & free to move with the decree in the right hand)

wa an-najaata min an-naar bi rahmatika yaa ‘azheemu yaa ghaffaar.

and salvation from the hell fire by Your mercies, oh Tremendous power, oh Forgiver

rabbi zid niy ‘ilmaan wa hiqniy bi as-saaliheen.

LORD, increase me in knowledge and certify me with the chosen prayerful righteous.

Dua' liy Bab Multazheem - Door to Kaba', between Hijr al-Aswad & Maqaum al-Ibraheem

allaahumma, yaa rabba al-baiyti al-'ateeq a'tiq

Oh GOD, oh LORD of the house, the original ancient sustained example.

Oh GOD, oh LORD of this blessed house and holy precincts, by this example of Your ancient presence which is revived continuously from age to age, and renewed even to this day for the future, revive us similarly.

riqaabanaa wa riqaaba aabaa'inaa wa ummahaatinaa wa ikhwaaninaa wa awlaadinaa min an-naar.

perceive us and watch over our fathers & mothers & brothers & our children, away from the hell fire.

look at us and supervise us, as You did for our fore fathers and mothers. Similarly look after our fellow brothers & sisters in faith, and the children that are to come in the future. Like You have renewed and sustained this house from Your divine example in Reality from ancient times to now, again and again; also keep us in a similar manner as we are a living part of this house now that we have responded to Your call. Through this covenant keep us away from the hell fire, which is seeking to pull us away.

yaa dha al-juwdi wa wa al-karami wa al-fadli

oh Lord, You are the reviver and the bountiful, and the preferred

oh Lord, through these benign attributes, we call on You as a skilled reviver upon our condition, a generous giver of all kinds of blessings, the blessings that are reserved and given to those You lovingly accept.wa al-il-manni wa al-'ataa'i wa al-ihsaan.

and the benefit and the giver and the pure beauty

and through all of these beneficial attributes we ask, knowing that You alone can sustain true useful benefit.

and You are the only one who can possess then give these benefits, and because of that tremendous ability You are the ultimate beauty and that perception and reception of You is Your sincerity.

allaahumma ahsin 'aaqabitanaa fiy al-umuwri kullihaa

Oh GOD, refine our following experience from the swinging vacillations from everything in her

Oh GOD, refine and correct our experiences as we continue in faith, from all vacillation and confusion.

wa ajirnaa min khiziy ad-dunyaa wa 'adhaabi al-aakhirat.

and strip & detach us from the shameful disgusting nature of this world and the torture in the last world

and detach us from that confusion by stripping away the sources we have through our association with the dirty and abased attributes of this worldly life. And by that same stripping, also remove the torturous oppression that can come in the grave and afterlife, from retaining the ignorance and confusion.

allaahumma inniy 'abduka wa abnu 'abdika

Oh GOD, surety, I serve You, and our fathers served You

Oh GOD, surety, I am serving You as our original spiritual fathers served You, by loving worship.

waqifaan tahta baabika multazhimun bi a'taabika mutazallilun

sufficient & proper under Your door, a superior threshold in Your destruction of lapses, mistakes, confusion

completion and sufficiency is found through Your door, where Your tremendous sufficiency and succor is manifest. As we approach that door, that tremendous efficacy destroys and removes all the ongoing lapses, mistakes, and bewildering confusion, bringing us to calmness. No lapses or sin can enter through that door.

bayn yadayka arjuw rahmataka wa akh~shaa 'adhaabaka min an-naari

shown in Your hands, a return to Your mercies, and reserved fear of Your punishment through the hell fires

evident in Your hands is the return to Your mercy, and also cautious reserve and fear of wrong doing before You, so save us from Your punishing torture that is prepared for those that are worthy of the hell fire.

yaa qadeema al-ihsaani.

oh primal & original cause for the beautiful merit

we call upon You, the original primal beauty that also gives of that same effective beauty, to create by grace, this beautiful merit through Yourself, to come to pass.

allaahumma inniy as'aaluka in yarfa'a dhikriy wa tada'a wizariy

Oh GOD, surety, I ask You by uplifting & healing remembrance and calling on help & assistance

Oh GOD, surety, I ask You by Your uplifting and healing power in all the kinds of remembrances, calling upon Your assistance accordingly, through Your instruments You have chosen and placed in control.

wa tusliha amriy wa tutahhira qalbiy wa tunawwira liy

and rectify and command and purify my heart and illuminate and enlighten me

and straighten through Your command and then purify my hearts spiritual urges, so I may be freed from any ignorance of thought and darkness of existence, through Your enlightenment and cleansing grace.

fiy qabriy wa taghfira liy dhanbiy.

in my grave and forgive & remove my burden of dirty sinfulness

make this enlightenment and grace forgive my heedless lapses and trespass, when I reach the grave life.

wa as'aaluka ad-darajaati il-'alaa min al-jannati aamiyn.

and I ask You the abode upon high in the garden paradise of faithful safety.

and I ask for the high stations of the paradise that is reserved safe, for the faithful believers in You.

Duwa' liy Maqaum al-Ibraheem

allaahumma innaka ya'limu sirriy wa 'alaa niyatiy fa aqbal ma'dhirati

Oh GOD, indeed You search my secrets and are upon my intentions then before You absolved, excused.

Oh GOD, surety is with You, as You search, knowing my inner secret intentions and motivations, then place them before Yourself, and if You find faults then You excuse and reconcile them, through Your covenant to return to those who answer Your call to pilgrimage. You reward with that which is better than what they offer, befitting Your Glory and forgiveness.

wa ya'alamu haajati fa a'tini suw'a liy

and seeking & knowing, overcoming, then breaking apart & grinding up my evils & low aspiration

and You seek, knowing everything I have done intentionally or by heedlessness & ignorance in my life. Then through the hajj you overcome everything I have done or will do that is wrong, and everything I did wrong in the sacrament of Hajj itself, and You discard all that in favor of Your promise & providence.

wa ta'alamu maa fiy nafsiy fa aghfir liy dhunuwbi.

and sought and known is what is in myself, then forgive in me my dirtiness & evil

and You seek and know what is in my thought and intention, and from that knowledge, You forgive in me all the dirt, sin, and folly. You forgive that falsehood, and dispose of all the sins we carry in our hearts and bodies that are evil, and forgive and excuse in us by the favor of Your overcoming grace.

allaahumma inniy asa'aluka iymaanaan yubaashiru qal niy

Oh GOD, surety, I ask You in faith for encouragement by saying to me

Oh GOD, surety, I am asking through sincere faith in You, for the grace of the good tidings in me, that these good tidings be effective, and be the cause for You to grant my supplication.

wa yaqiynaanan saadiqaan hattaa a'lamu annahu laa yusiybuni

and certified truthful we are until known upon You with no errors & losses

and from You comes the beneficial confidence by faith until we understand and act with no loss & error.

illa maa katabat liyi waridaan minku bimaa qasamta liy.

except what is written for me arriving from You apportioned for me

except what is written by the pen and is coming to me manifest as my portion. You alone control this and know and see the qismet destiny, and if it is to be adjusted, it will be by Your hand, rewriting.

anta waliyy fiy ad-dunyaa wa al-aakhirati tawaffaniy muslimaan wa al-hiqni bi is-saaliheen.

You are the guiding Friend in the world now, and the next world; perfecting & fulfilling those who surrender in submission, retraining & restraining by the charitable good deeds.

allaahumma laa tada'a lanaa fiy maqaaminaa haadha dhanbaan illa aghafartahu

Oh GOD, no summoning to us in our station, dirty & evil, until You forgive

Oh GOD, You will not call us out from our low & dirty station until You forgive us and restore us.

wa laa hammaan illa farrjtahu wa laa haajatan illa qadaytahaa

and no striving except Your cracking open, and no suitable intelligence except as You complete

and no warming to any effort or striving will come until You open the way and separate off the ignorance, and no intelligence and awareness in wisdom will come until You complete and satisfy Your conditions on us.

wa yassartahaa fayassir umuwranaa wa ashrah suduwranaa

and prepared & smoothed is an easy way we travel and relaxed & joyful are our hearts

and as You make a smooth way for us, and prepare our way, we move through our life in joy & confidence of faith in our heart until that is complete.

wa nawwir quloobinaa wa akhtim bi is-saalihaati a'maalanaa.

and enlighten our hearts and seal them complete with the righteous good we work

and enlighten our hearts with Your light, and seal off complete & finished fully, and the proof is shown through our working of righteousness.

allaahumma yawaffana muslimeena wa al-hiqnaa bi is-saaliheena

Oh GOD, perfect & fulfill our surrender and abiding restrained in the our righteousness

Oh GOD, perfect our submission & surrender as we abide & restrain ourselves in the righteous acts.

ghayra khazaayaa wa laa maftuwneena aameena yaa rabba al-'aalameen.

away separated off is the debased shame and no passing away or death of our faith, oh LORD of the worlds

separate & remove far away the guilt & shame that comes from our past, present, and future sinfulness, and never allow us to pass away or lose hope in our faith, by You alone, oh LORD of all the universes as You control and understand them and we do not. You alone know how all this works, and how faith is established, adn what we are carrying, and the solution for that human condition.

Duwa' liy al-'Ayn al-Zumzum

allaahumma inniy as'aluka rizqaan waasi'an

Oh GOD, surety Your power, I ask a provision, inclusive

Oh GOD, surety You are, by You I ask an all encompassing multidimensional providence that is according to Your honor and befitting Your mercy, sustaining me in everything needed to quench the hell fire, and cleanse me for the return to You in purity (fitr).

wa 'ilmaan naafi'aan

and a knowledge, beneficial

and wash away my ignorance and trivial knowledge, giving instead a beneficial knowledge that is consistent for the plan You have for my service and return to You. Quench my thirst for knowledge with Your knowledge of Yourself similar with the favored servants that are imbued with that same knowledge.

wa shifaa'an min kulli daa'in.

and intercessory relief from all recall through debts & illness & separation

and through Your intercession directly and through those You have appointed as intercessors, excuse me from all forms of trespass and encroachment I have made against You, which have led to the disease and separation from You. Give me the abatement, and then the knowledge and strength to keep my promise to You, thereby receiving in return, by Your covenant, a continued relief and salvation.
